at least for american mcgee, from what i've seen he still has plans to continue the alice franchise on his own and has gained incredible success elsewhere. he also released a design bible for what he envisioned for the third game (that ea did not greenlight despite it... lol)

there are other tells along the way with ea completely ruining the intended output for da veilguard with their need to monetize everything, but it's still disappointing all the same. so much talent that inspired so many in the game dev scene have lost their work and livelihood

idea was to have it be an interactive print sort of thing, so you can remove the sigil and olruggio would be revealed... no clue if there is actual interest in nonsense like this but it was definitely fun brainstorming original merch ideas

not surprised the astarion book turned out the way it did (albeit disappointed because one would assume it would allow an opportunity to delve into darker topics without dancing around it...) bc honestly? corporate made stories are becoming more and more wishy washy and bland as the years pass by

the desire to keep stories "safe" so as to not upset anyone means pushing aside marginalized folk that resonated with his character for a specific reason that the book refuses to explore. that and the blatant misconstruing of his character and the pr-ification of his more problematic traits is. lol

most likely my favorite animated series to have come out this year... a six year project that i've been keeping in my periphery and the wait was well worth it seeing how much its grown from its pilot episode alone. hope this, link click, and to be hero x encourages more people to get into donghua

can i be a bit honest and say i don't believe in throwing money at param*unt to make them believe animation is worth the investment because look at what happened to disn*y just now. their animation sector is still making record profits and yet they're *still* laying off staff

when capitalism turns art into a source of cheap labor to increase profit margins, then how can we place our trust in corpos in being able to determine that art still has its worth when the profit margins become smaller and smaller while they further belittle the craft

i guess what i'm trying to say is i always disagreed with the notion of giving a corporation exactly what they want: money. giving a corrupt entity what they desire means you've given them what they wanted, but with no assurances that you'll get what *you* wanted

there's certain illustrations i know won't get traction (i remember my frankenstein illustration didn't before GDT's film, and then reposted after it released only for it to become one of my most liked ones), so this was drawn completely self indulgently and stupidly as per usual
