Divest from oligarchy. Protect your communities. And organize on policy. Pressure your reps to represent not rule. Never kick down, punch up.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

I feel like, some may need some words of hope. For my own personal reasons, I've never trusted authority, for authorities sake. Because, the more power one appears to attain, the more it appears to me, that people with the proclivaties to abuse it, seem willing to do anything for more. .

Do not, fall into despair. Cherish good people when you find them. There's more sadistic people than any of us are comfortable with. The antidote to lawful evil, it's chaotic good. If people can do evil for no reason. We can do good, when we have the opportunity, for no reason.

Reality, and seeing the situation as it is, can be disheartening. Lean on each other. Be there to lift each other up. Know we all take different roads to this point in time. But someone has to be reading the map. So if nothing else. Picture solutions. We'll get through this, together.

We have to imagine better. The answers to the future are in imagining better. In hiring people who run for office who are choosing to serve to represent you. It's a job. Hire competence over charm. And rotate them out in some regular pattern.

Even Frodo struggled the longer he carried it. We can only choose who gets to carry. So make sure we're getting the best person we can to that playoff race. If, there's no place in your journey right now to do nothing else. Imagine the world you wish for, what could happen if we fixed things.

Who's only goal is to attain as much power as they can to sadistically gain access to money, and the things money can buy. In this world, there's long been a, ceiling to accountability. At some point there's enough money to buy your freedom to consequences. It's almost a theme in history.

When justice, is unattainable, from above your social caste. It's only applicable down the ladder. Never up. Anger and the system itself is bound to corrode.

the power like the ring from lord of the rings- The ones who have resilience to it, are the little people. they've learned the secret. That happiness comes from community, friends, and a belief that some day we may all gather over a pint in the shire and cherish the true wealth in this life.

Love. Joy. Companionship I recall Plato's warnings. That democracy crumbles when charisma is valued over competency. That corruption followed in Athens. This makes sense. Charisma, it's a tool often used by those who manipulate. Who lie. And some of them, are malignant narcissist.

I keep wondering, how many victims were institutionalized globally because they were given drugs and tortured. How many were institutionalized because of how implausible their experiences were?

I keep thinking about the missing kids, runaways, women. There's ties to the jon benet case. This is a huge, criminal organization. And it's going to take a long time to bring them to justice. Maybe we could take that ice funding and start a special court... The people deserve justice.

What does it feel like for a butterfly to emerge from is chrysalis? Is it the best stretch imaginable? Or is it slimy, itchy, and uncomfortable? Or maybe it's both. And as it dries it's new wings? Does it know what's possible? Does it know the threats, innately? Can it imagine flight?

Please contact your reps. They are trying to sell our resources, destroy our public lands. They are stealing from generations to come. Speak up

Congress is moving to strip protections from 225,000 acres near the BWCA. MN Rep. Stauber introduced H.J. Res. 140, a giveaway to Chilean mining company Antofagasta that puts toxic mining next to our cleanest water. We have 60 days. Contact Congress & vote NO: www.friends-bwca.org/get-involved...

Coalitions are built for a shared objective. The group project has a goal. That goal means working with people you might not have picked. The objective, it's the priority. Stop thinking you're going to find ground on everything. And move towards completing the objective.

Here's the strategy, imho.... Psst. Register for your state primary. Vote for the least corrupt option you have in every race. But vote. Preferably in person. Send a message. Loud and clear.

The man with the nuclear football has a torture fetish. Release the files. Impeach remove and try every single person who abused, or facilitated the abuse of victims. All of them Divest from their companies. Stop propping up the oligarchy that dismantled our democracy for these monsters.

This is global corporate oligarchs playing risk. The world knows it. What are you going to do about it? You still investing? Giving them leases to your resources? What's the limit for global corporate oligarchs? oilprice.com/Energy/Energ...

Who was giving marching orders? There's people above them. GM and JE. Who??? Are they still trafficking children? Laundering money? why are his accounts still open? Who's profiting? Why would it not be frozen through litigation? Justice for the victims.

Wth these social studies and history high school teachers gonna to with- All this? Can you even imagine teaching this to teenagers? The same parents who don't wanna hear about black history? They gonna allow.... this? WE TEACH HISTORY SO WE DO NOT REPEAT ITS LESSONS.

Underaged women are children. Men who abuse their power are predators. And adults who are attracted to children are pedophiles. And some of y'all carrying water for pedos acting like we're taking about you? Are we?

@baldwin.senate.gov Hold the line! We're counting on you! This is lives on the line. Empty promises are not enough! You need tangible gains. This is absurd, why would you lose your leverage this way? No! As a long time supporter, this isn't a compromise worth your seat. And it will cost it.

I honestly can't believe we as a country, are going with prosecuting immigrants and letting pedophiles, child traffickers, corporate labor abusers, and tax cheats go as an actual policy.

winning election policies imho- -Overturn Citizens United. -Federally Legalize Cannabis - Tax wealth not work. - fair wage for fair work - Limit reality investment by property management companies. - Campaign finance reform - Medicare for all. - Make college education affordable

Look, I do not know how to reach democratic leadership but if you do? Tell them the story out of NYC? It's authenticity. And from backwoods wisco? You can sell progressive policy here, You can't fake authenticity. And we're all starving for it. Stand for something. Be authentic. Or retire. #dems

We should all be disgusted by the flood of anti-Muslim remarks spewed in the aftermath of Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the NYC mayoral primary — some blatant, others latent. Shame on the members of Congress who have engaged in such bigotry and anyone who doesn’t challenge it.

To be clear, to the people who used to profess they were the small government conservatives- Medical boards determined ethics and best practices. Sports? Tournaments and leagues determined eligibility of Trans athletes. School boards determined curriculum, your community chose books.

But y'all have left your basic principles behind. You are handing local power to state legislators. And state power to the executive branch. This is why I can not believe conservatives are driven by principles. Because it sure seems like you leave them at the door to be boot licking

How should we as a country address declining faculties in politicians? I know there's a push for age and term limits, but i have an idea- A credentialing exam. We do this for teachers (praxis) and even the postal workers take a civil servants exam. You want to run for legislatures?

You take the exam to prove you have the foundational competency. To file to run you need a credential. The Civil servants exam would be acceptable. Then, in the interest of the public, the metrics- pass/fail, and rate of change % in return candidates should be available upon request.

We know age related decline is an issue. We also know, health issues can cause serious cognition issues, looking at you Fetterman. Let's put a basic requirement of base ability into the process.

First, I think Biden should have stepped away and let Harris drive in 23. I thought this at the time. I think it would have likely helped. But, as we may recall, things were popping at that time and stability of leadership likely would have argued for him staying the course.

That said, I could caste less about this "expose". I am sorry he has cancer. I seriously question why, when Trump is out here walking into walls, and generally acting fully demented and clearly being manipulated by foriegn interests? This became the topic of the week? Seems like corporate cowardice
