After yet another watch-through, this still holds for me: a great blind portrayal. IMO, it's also the best writing from Marvel to hit the screen, leagues ahead of the rest. Daredevil is my kind of Marvel the way Andor is my kind of Star Wars. Check out Joe Strechay's site. He's great. Hire him.
Charlie Cox and Joe Strechay created an absolutely convincing blind lawyer, Matt Murdock. Charlie Cox and Chris Brewster created an absolutely convincing blind vigilante, Daredevil. Teamwork made the dream work for Daredevil 2015-2018. strechay.org www.imdb.com/name/nm24235... Follow the links.
For some of my recent followers: if I haven't followed back it's because you're too popular. I appreciate your follow and hope you'll stick around.
I rarely follow very popular accounts. One of my heuristics for curating my feed is that post quality is inversely proportional to the number of followers. People with big audiences tend to cater to their audience, and fan service is just not my thing.
One of the most famous early Google executives, former CEO of Yahoo, and well-known Silicon Valley socialite, Marissa Mayer, needs AI to describe what's special about her daughter. rmpwl.co/s/https://ww...
The best possible spin from leading VR publications bodes ill for strap-on facial PCs. Reminder: Zuck pivoted all of Facebook, for well over half a decade, with tens of billions of dollars, all for a few million (!! MILLION !!) active headset users. Zuck is a one-hit wonder if ever there was one.
The room we sleep in has six large skylights. 99% of the time I love them. Living in a redwood forest means very little direct sunlight and the skylights give us what of it there is. Tonight is the 1%. This outrageously bright full moon is shining right through my eyelids. How'm I supposed to sleep!

Character.ai was valued at $1B. Bankrupt, it's selling the last of its IP to Disney for $20M, 2% of what Very Smart People™ told us it was worth only three years ago. It is 7 years since "GPT too dangerous to release" and 3 or 4 years since the generative AI products boom began.
Two weeks into the free trial and my Firefox extension is nearly complete. Bluesky destroys PNG alpha transparency, flattening images against a black background. I've fixed this with an extension that uses the Bluesky API to keep transparency intact. The dev experience has been slow but workable.
Every 3-4 months, I pay for (or get free) 1 month of frontier AI, where I fuck around looking for anything useful. This month I'm spending all my (limited) time with it on an ambitious Firefox extension I've been drafting for about a year. From earlier explorations, I'm cautiously optimistic.
