AI helped recreate seven Adobe applications. What does that mean for software development? 🤔 Building software is getting faster, but reliability, maintainability, and engineering judgment still matter. What will set software apart as AI evolves? Read more 👇 www.ardanlabs.com/news/2026/ai...

ardanlabs.comAI Cloned Adobe's Software. What Does That Mean for the Future of Software Development? | Ardan Labs NewsA developer frustrated with Adobe's subscription fees decided to do something most people would consider unreasonable: use AI to rebuild its software.

🤖 83% of developers use AI at work. Only 6.6% trust it for many tasks, including important work decisions. 🔍 What explains the gap? 🚀 Explore our analysis of the 2026 Stack Overflow Developer Survey and what it means for engineering teams: www.ardanlabs.com/news/2026/wh...

ardanlabs.comWhat the 2026 Developer Survey Reveals About AI Adoption and Trust | Ardan Labs NewsAI tools have become part of everyday software development. Stack Overflow's latest survey reveals how developers are using them, where confidence is growing, …

Using AI every day is one thing. Knowing where it actually helps is another. Engineering teams need more than access to AI tools. They need the skills to evaluate quality, verify results, and measure impact.

How cool is this! #Kronk #golang Kronk Jev Game is an endless runner. Play the top half of the screen. A small AI model plays the same map in the bottom half, at the same time. No cloud. No API key. Nothing leaves the machine. The model runs on my laptop's integrated GPU. lnkd.in/p/ehuYbP7J

A great evening with the Go community in San Francisco! 🐹🌉 @goinggo.net took the stage to talk about self-hosted LLMs in Go, exploring what’s possible when AI runs closer to the code, the hardware, and the engineer. Thanks to everyone who joined and GoSF for a great meetup! 🙌

A correct answer used to be a strong interview signal. AI is changing that. Now the better questions might be: Why this approach? What could fail? What would you change before shipping? The answer matters. The engineering judgment behind it matters more.

Cutting entry-level development can make sense on this quarter's spreadsheet. The talent pipeline has a much longer timeline.

Token consumption is an input. Engineering productivity is an outcome. Treating them as the same metric can get expensive.

Your AI token cost is growing. But is your engineering output growing with it? More tokens can produce more work, but the relationship isn't always proportional. We look at AI costs, architecture, and local inference with Kronk: www.ardanlabs.com/news/2026/yo...

ardanlabs.comYour AI Token Cost Is Growing. Is Your Engineering Output Growing With It? | Ardan Labs NewsToken spend is climbing faster than engineering output. Why AI cost is often an architecture problem—and what leaders should measure instead of consumption.

Yesterday, @goinggo.net joined the GolangNYC Meetup in New York City. Great conversations, a room full of developers, and plenty of ideas shared around building with Go. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a great meetup! 📸 Sharing a few moments from the event below.

What if your #AI application didn’t need a separate model server? AI infrastructure can quickly turn into a web of model servers, vector DBs, orchestration tools, and APIs. Kronk AI takes a different approach. Read this week’s Technical Tuesday: www.ardanlabs.com/news/2026/kr...

A good answer is only part of the picture. Also measure what it takes to produce it: → Memory → Tool calls → Retries → Latency AI agents need to be evaluated on both results & resource usage.

🦀 What did attendees think of @herberticus.bsky.social ’s “Practical Actor-Based Concurrency in Async Rust” workshop at RustConf 2026? Here’s what one of the students had to say 👇 Thanks to everyone who joined Herbert in Montréal! #RustConf #rustlang #AsyncRust #ArdanLabs

Every AI agent eventually gives you this choice: Set a limit. Or let it keep going. Retries, context, parallel tool calls and sub-agents all consume resources. The problem isn't giving agents autonomy. It's giving them unlimited autonomy.

🦀 @rustconf.com 2026 in Montréal The conference is kicking off, and the Rust community is already bringing great energy. If you’re at RustConf, come say hi at the Ardan Labs booth! We’d love to meet you, chat about Rust, and hear what you’re working on. #RustConf #rustlang #ArdanLabs
