There's so much to unpack but I want to focus on one detail I don't see anyone else pointing out: She spends time conscientiously citing how they didn't use AI "to make people say things they didn't say" while glossing over how they used AI to make people DO things they DIDN'T DO. That's not better.

a while back, AI used to attach markers to whatever it shat out so that it wouldn't eat its own shit. Then artists began incorporating that into their own work so the AI would pass it over, and so to combat this, companies simply removed that marker so it's BEEN training on its own shit for ages now
