I don't normally watch sports. My personality is too far removed from most of them. The Formula 1 race at COTA today had me absolutely captivated. Everyone had to know it was a race for 2nd place well before lap ten.

I finally got to spend around an hour in Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV. The Citroen race was fun. Yeah, maybe I spent more credits tuning it than buying it. I'm looking forward to trying Sportsland Sugo and the new Xiaomi Vision. I'm a single player casual with too nice of a rig to be this casual.

I enjoyed the new Carrie series far more often than not. There were choices made and I probably understand why. The cast did their jobs almost perfectly. Lillard is always a joy to watch. I don't watch much television, so it's nice to enjoy a show this much.

I'm not getting into the whole "fake goth vs. real goth" debate, except to say this: None of the people on either side have made their arguments through enough layers of reverb and delay for me to consider any of them "real" goths.

14 individual notifications for YouTube Shorts got sent my way yesterday. Fourteen. I'll look for ways to turn those off specifically. There are other notifications that I do want. Fourteen algorithmically determined interruptions was way too many.

I went to a donut store near a race track. My inner twelve year old had a wonderful time in the parking lot Two Corvettes and a Porsche, all with racing numbers on them. Pre-teen me loved those cars. Adult me keeps hearing the race track and got into Gran Turismo 7.

I'm about to completely disable YouTube notifications on my phone. They are sending what feels like a dozen a day for shorts to watch. I have things to do without the constant interruptions.

I've been reading tarot on and off since 2010, with a big reset that started in 2019. Then I spent the stay-at-home years mail ordering decks and books. There were times when I was too busy reading books about tarot to read the cards. Maybe I can ramble about some indie decks now and then.

Every time I wonder about making a tarot deck of my own, this comes to mind. Good things happen when you commit. This deck is proof of that.

YouTube suggested a video which stated that side 1 of a compact disc was recorded at the wrong speed. Side 1 of a compact disc. I'm pretty sure it was generated by an LLM. I hope it was, to be honest.

"all existing products, orders, and previously announced commitments will be honored" This part is good news I bought the Vampire 5e digital book within minutes of it appearing on the old World of Darkness site. When the site went down, my downloads vanished with it.

After many years of bringing the World of Darkness to tabletops together, White Wolf and Renegade Game Studios are parting ways at the end of 2026. Until then, the two teams are working closely together to make the handover seamless for players. Read our full statement here: bit.ly/4dJnIw4

I'm not too upset, and there are two reasons for it. First, I made backups of my purchases. Second, future Humble Bundle offerings helped me get the updated digital book alongside a few that I didn't have. Now I'm grateful to see that they're working to make a better transition for their players.

It feels like I had been able to find every flavor of Faygo except my favorite: Rock & Rye. Today was the first time I had Rock & Rye in many, many years. It brought happiness. And I still have eleven more cans. Imagine cream soda with cherry in it. It's good

I might get chatty here about the CDs I'm going through -- like finding this in one of the boxes: "Freddy's Favorites: The Best of A Nightmare on Elm Street." It has the music from themotorcycle scene in part 5. That alone makes it worth it. www.discogs.com/master/11862...

I'm looking at this cd of Black Flag's "TV Party" with some sadness. It wasn't uncommon to see criticism of the television. From the elderly "it rots your brain" conversation to young malcontents arguing that it lies and "if it bleeds, it leads." Ask those same people about their smartphones.

I wish that there was someone in person to ramble to whole going through those CDs. Helios will listen. He's a cat though. He will also try to send them to the floor. All things return to floor.

Every time I watch Freddy's Dead, I can't help seeing Ned Flanders. Every state has a Springfield. #MutantFam #NightmareOnElmStreet #noes

I'd love to see the look on this guy's face when he finds out who wrote his favorite phone apps.

Tommy Tuberville: Many airline pilots, flight attendants, and air traffic controllers are part of the furry community. It's terrifying.

Oh lovely. The email service that was part of my web hosting plan for over a decade is now a separate service. It costs just under $6 per month.

I'm finally pulling files off of my "old" Windows machine in order to retire it. This includes music projects that can get moved to my new machine. The only thing "wrong" with the old machine was it having a an older HDD rather than a solid state drive. 😥

One more thing about Helios: That cat is not afraid to make it very clear when it's too late to look at a screen He has bitten me (gently) just to tell me put the phone down. It was bedtime. He is a good cat, a good friend, and extremely wise.

To this day, the cat Helios insists on riding on my left shoulder while being transported through the house. Every time he pounces onto my arm, I feel blessed and grateful. I didn't know cats really did that. Now Helios has declared that I am his chariot.
