I would like for just one thing to be straight forward and go the way it is supposed. This has not happened to me for msny years now.

I'm going to go buy a shit ton of candy. If anyone asks it's for the children. It's not though. It's for me.

I am currently growing my hair out. No reason other than I'm enjoying cutting increasingly random layers into it. I'm finding it really hard not to grab my ponytail and hack it off. Again not reason other than for shits and giggles.

I liked the boom Klara and the Sun very much and was looking forward to seeing the movies. But the reviews are not looking good.... oh no.

I just called my cat the German (original) version of 'baby mouse' and she sprinted over to talk to me. So my cat speaks German apparently.

GNU Dolly Parton.

The plans for the Forum worry me. I think more housing is a good thing but the focus should really be on adorable housing and making sure the unhoused population have somewhere safe to live. I don't think that's being taken into consideration. #halisky

Why is the only time I remember to drink water at bedtime?

I'm trying to sleep on my sofa because my garbage ac is in the sitting room and I feel like I can't breath it's so hot in the bedroom. This apartment traps heat like crazy. I would like it to be fall now please. #halisky

Having a wee listen to Much Music Dance Mix '95 and I can still remember the transition into each different song. Brains are so strange.

Is Second Cup evil also? They are my favorite chain and I know they are Canadian but that in no way makes them not evil. Lots of evil Canadians out there.

Is there are reason downtown Halifax currently smells like burning rubber? I can find anything and I'm a bit worried.

Hello Halifax sky. I am moving out of my lovely apartment and into a condo so I am looking for someone to sublet from September 1st to January 31st. So if you know of anyone looking for a short term lease send them the link. Thank you!! www.kijiji.ca/v-short-term... #halisky

I have over a month before moving day and I'm already 70% packed. Which would be great if I didn't need to get the apartment ready to list it for lease takeover/sublet. Thank you adhd hyperfocus. Can you please sort yourself out for the next couple days?

Playing a "fun" game I haven't played in a long time. I have a really sore throat.... Is it heartburn or is it covid? Worst #throwbackthursday ever.

Kindly fuck off summer. Spring and fall are always welcome. Winter can have two months around Christmas. Summer get to fuck. You horrid, evil, too long season. I hate you so much.

I guess it didn't happen. Oh well.

Second Halifax post of the day. I have a lot of clients this weekend so I've been all over the region today. The cops are out in force pulling over speeders. Not sure what's going on there. #halisky

You wantan idea of how hot it is in Halifax right? Well every part of the commons is empty. Not a ball being pickled. Not a wicket being cricketed. Totally empty... except for the pool that is. Expect to wait if your heading there. #halisky

In the last 24 hours I've had 5 clients book for next week. Now I'm going to spend the whole week thinking I'm missing someone. Hey Halifax! Where are you all going?

I would like a nice big shot of alfaxan so I can get a proper nights sleep. Please and thank you.

Hello smart internet people of Halifax Nova Scotia. Do I have to use NS power as my provider for energy or is there an alternative? Mainly just cause I hate NS power and everything they stand for. Thanks for your help. #halisky #halifax

I just fucking love when people with super long nails flip the bird. There is something so anestheticly pleasing about it.

I am waiting to hear some news that is going to change my whole life and its taking forever and I'm going insane.....

I have a sore throat and I couldn't think why. Then I remembered I ate pizza today and this be how my heartburn has decided to manifest. Stupid tasty tomato.

I'm going to try to sell my silly little crafts at the Funky Flea this Sunday. My only goal is to have a lovely time and make my booth fee back. #fleamarket #halisky

I am very early to my current client. As such it is not yet food and meds time. So he just keeps pacing around the flat, looking for food and then periodically sitting in front of me to scream.

How fast is hair supposed to grow? Cause mine feels like its grown 3 inches in the last 2 months. That's too much!

In my ten minute walk to my first client, I have see 3 cars getting towed. Compliance is on the ball this morning. Happy running Bluenose people. #halisky

Is the moon doing something? Bluesky seems extra unhinged today.

Hello Halifax people. Does anyone know how the turtles in the public gardens got there? I feel like they are not a native species. L0

I did my stupid fucking taxes.

I find things like this really difficult to read because my experience has been so vastly different. Dyslexia isn't a superpower for me, it is a disability. It would be the same as if someone told me depression is a superpower. It's not, it harms me. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I love when you find a YouTuber that's new to you but has been on the platform for years. So much content. And then the do a video with someone else that's the same. It's so good. Anyway I've been watching nothing but @olurinatti.bsky.social and @kenniejd.bsky.social back catalog for the last week.

I have no clients on Monday or Tuesday next week. I might go down to Kejimkujik and stare at the sky for a bit.

The face leopards sure are eating well today...

A really good way to piss people off on Bedford highway is to drive at the speed limit. #halisky

There are about ten thousand different craft and art projects I would like to be working on right now but instead I need to sleep. Being a human in a human body is ludicrous!

I just finished reading 'This is how you lose the time war'. I would very much like this to be adapted into a graphic novel.

This evening has been fun. Trying to figure out if people are talking about the wrestling, the baseball or the oscars.

Wondering if I can run my small business completely analog (other than client communications). Like just having a diary and a notebook with my bookkeeping and never having to use these shitty programs ever again. Everything is expensive and shit.

Watching women's curling. Why does everyone on both teams have the same hair?

Halifax is looking very pretty this morning. A good day for tobogganing at the citadel.

I do not enjoy most sports at all in any way shape or form but I fucking love the winter Olympics. I do not understand.

This week I found out that Bookmark in Halifax has a charity section where all the books are $2 or $5. This is very dangerous. I bought 7 books.

Can someone explain to me how many countries need to be at war before something is considered a world war? Cause i feel like we have been in one for the last two decades and it's ramping up again.

I would very much appreciate it if the freezing rain doesn't come until the afternoon like it is supposed to. I have a lot of driving around to do this morning and I would prefer not to die. No early weather please.b

I had a very early start today so I made myself a lovely chai latte to take on the road with me. It is currently sitting on the table in my hallway at home, where I am not. Boo... Hopefully it will still be warm when i get home.

My only reading goal for 2026 is to get through my TBR. It's only around 20 books. It should be doable. #goals #resolution

Cereal is the only thing I can eat at the moment that doesn't make me feel sick. If I take a multivitamin and only eat cereal will I die of malnutrition?
