Meanwhile, pro-democracy, pro-Europe protesters in Tbilisi, Georgia, are tonight nearing their 700th consecutive day of protest against the pro-Russian government. They haven't missed a single day in the last 23 months.

I've recently learned that a certain "Halo effect" happens with people like Mr. Musk, whom always reminds me of a MAGA version of David, the synth from the Alien franchise. Mister Fassbender earns my respect with his masterclass performance, btw.

Cornell, Harvard, celebrity, CEO, judge, lawyer, w/e, and I do respect the work it took, but tell me how you treat people with less power, how you own harm you cause, and how you live your values when nobody is watching, because credentials can signal expertise but character shows in how you live.

Like, we don't legally protect scams and fraud, but if you rebrand your scam as an "opinion" online, suddenly everyone's a constitutional scholar, facts and truth need a comeback... 🥴 this timeline is so weird...

#Denmark built so much wind that some blustery hours the turbines out-produce what the whole country is using. When that happens, the extra power doesn’t sit idle. It moves through Denmark’s links into the wider European network and heads to neighbors like Germany, Norway, Sweden. #ActOnClimate

Is it crazy to post on social media that we need to spend less time talking to each other on social media? I do my share of doomscrolling. But what I've learned during my lifetime is that democracy requires having difficult conversations — and having our ideas challenged.

Somewhere along the way I stopped writing out of duty and started writing because I enjoy it. Which is strange, because I used to complain about every paper, every report, every time someone made me write something.

A 5-year-old Texan just spent the first day of school in an ICE detention center. ICE kidnapped Liam Tadeo on his way to a soccer game with his dad. Liam should be in kindergarten. Instead, our government has thrown him in a prison camp hundreds of miles from home.

REMINDER: Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from in now 73 days. Yet he still: •Has his job •Gets paid, and •Gets free world-class healthcare The man who voted against a living wage, against universal healthcare, & against guaranteed paid leave—gets all three as he needs it most.😐

Food companies wanted deregulation. Now there are dozens of recalls across the country. Mining companies wanted deregulation. Now the black lung rate is at a 45-year high. Financial companies wanted deregulation. Now financial losses to fraud are the highest on record. Noticing a pattern?
