🔥 Introducing my MCP for publishing to the Play Store! 🔥 If you're already talking to your codebase, why not ask it to bump the version, compile the AAB, and publish it for you? 👇🧵

It's already functional, although I've only tested it in very specific cases. Please give it a try. If you find any issues or think of features you'd like to have (the Play Store API is huge!), please create an issue on GitHub.

Ask it to: ⬆️ Bump the app version 📦 Compile the AAB (or APK) 🚀 Publish to the alpha track with a 20% rollout 📝 Add any release notes you want All of this using natural language!

It works with any MCP client: Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc. You can also ask for the status of your apps to see the latest published versions, or tell it to promote your beta to the production track if it's working like a charm.

I'll continue with my YouTube channel, where I've started a weekly podcast (that you can listen in any podcasting platform too). And there will probably be more tech topics that I'll be covering there. Let's keep learning together!

Today marks the ten year anniversary for Android Studio! 🎉 We released version 1.0 on the morning of December 8th 2014: android-developers.googleblog.com/2014/12/andr...

Yesterday I started updating my code for a Testing training that I'm doing next week. Today I wake up with this. This is how fast the Android code gets outdated 😅

It’s done! Today I talked about KMP and CMP, how to start, how the project looks, the Gradle files, and the recommended libraries for each basic App need. #DevFestAranjuez2024

Did you know that the "strong skipping mode" in #jetpackcompose can make your applications more efficient? 🚀 With the arrival of 1.7.0, strong skipping mode has become the standard, bringing significant improvements in handling recompositions. What does this change really mean for us as developers?

💡 Additionally, all lambdas are automatically wrapped with a remember by the compiler. Previously, we had to remember to manually wrap some of our lambdas to avoid unwanted recompositions. Now, the compiler does it for us, simplifying the code and reducing the possibility of errors.

What does this change really mean for us as developers?

🌟 The magic of strong skipping lies in its ability to allow Composables with unstable parameters to be skipped during recomposition. This means that if a parameter hasn't changed, the Composable can be omitted, reducing unnecessary work and improving performance.

🔍 What is considered "unstable"? Unstable parameters are now compared by reference (===), while stable parameters continue to be compared using equals (==). This ensures that recompositions are more precise and only occur when truly necessary.
