Hey @bsky.app, FUCK AI! 🖕

I had an interview at a coffee shop (for a non-coffee-shop-related job). Ordered an iced coffee. Spilled it EVERYWHERE. Got a job offer the next day. Isn’t there anything—literally anything— better we could be focused on right now?

I would never disqualify a candidate based on coffee. That is wildly petty. I am on a hiring committee right now and we all had water bottles and coffee during interviews. We offer candidates a bottle of water before the interview. Let people hydrate!!!

So disqualifying someone because they want to have something to drink... That's messed up. Personally I have interviewed people who bring drinks or water bottles and guess what... It does not matter. The only thing is if they bring a full pizza they better share.

Ok the age verification stuff with systemd is so fucked up. Also why is the team behind it going forward with this? Also why is systemd a system for handling low level stuff trying to be in charge of age verification? #heycafe hey.cafe/conversation...
