If you had asked me a year ago what two brand-authoring creatives were going to come out pro-AI, they would have been my first two fingers, based on everything they have said or done the past three decades and their entire public personas

Lindsey Graham isn't alive to see your posts celebrating his death but the other sycophantic homophobic war hawks you know will. Think about how this will affect them before you post and then post it anyway.

I can't really speak to where Skybound Transformers has wound up, but that's mostly because I felt like I was watching it squander an explosive and refreshing first twelve issues just after they ended, and I have not been particularly swayed to reconsider

"You couldn't make Wild, Wild West today" Who cares. You couldn't make the '80s She-Ra episode "Book Burning" today, because a generation raised on children's media that treated antifascist parables as uncontroversial common ground went on to take the wrong lessons into adulthood. that's way sadder

I have gotten my first MOTU Masterverse figures in (New Etheria Hordak and Sun-Man; Dragstor, She-Ra, and Adora/Despara on the way), which is also my first experience with an adult-oriented action-figure in general, coming from a TF background. It is fun. It is also just, straight, up, a doll.

It only shows up sparingly in TFs with some live-action Studio Series figures. Obviously it holds up to more stress (I think?), but is it also used because it allows easier molding of minute details? TFs consistently use more rigid, glossy mixes. Is this to ensure less sticking for transformation?

Which is a cheaper material? Do people know what I'm talking about? I feel like this is a weird given in lines, but I generally want someone who collects both TF and other collector lines to fill me in. I remember all the kid-oriented toys I had as a kid being more rigid and glossy as well.

Like, you pose it and swap accessories around for display and that's the play. Literally just a doll. Fun though! I have also just unstuck an elbow joint with hot water for the first time in my life, and I have serious questions about plastic materials if anyone cares to answer?

This is my first time dealing with the kind of matte, gummier/more rubbery plastic that seems to be used near universely across adult-oriented lines like MOTU's, Marvel Legends (I think?), Joe's, Spawn (I think?), NECA stuff (I think?), etc.

Wild King W remains unopened because a mass of MOTU stuff I bought with it arrived simultaneously, also this is a MOTU account now I'm so sorry (It's not, but holy heck is the ratio of good media for the property, I'm finding, about a thousand times higher than TFs'. It's not fair.)
