Endorsed for banter and dolphin facts. Has worn many hats, and was never told there would be so many rodeos. Don't blame my employer for the dumb things I say, and never assume anything I say here is correct.

question for the audience: if you were ultra rich (let’s say $25M), what completely frivolous thing are you buying?

I lasted 5 hours in an embroidery factory. I don't know how to work a sewing machine. I don't know what I was doing there. I was completely, wholly unqualified for the job. Kind of like the fired lady.

Just saw someone say, of an AI prompt, "The only thing i would suggest is to prompt that it remove all bias in its responses" and I have so many questions.

Willie Nelson covering Pearl Jam’s Just Breathe with his son Lukas. Beautiful. I never even liked the song before Willie did it.

What is your favorite song cover. Mine is tied between the chicks “top of the world” and Lana del Rey’s “doin’ time”

And also, that may be the worst headline I've ever seen. (In case you missed it, Cornell's president drove his car into a crowd of students. They weren't "bumped" by some autonomous car.)

This story was broken by The Cornell Sun, which @nytimes.com nowhere cites. As a former editor-in-chief of The Sun — and in the name of brave, amazing college newspapers everywhere — do not treat student journalists as truffle pigs, taking what they've sniffed out without credit or compensation.

Ralph Bakshi’s Mighty Mouse was completely bonkers and started a whole generation of animators who got famous in the 90s.

Benicio Del Toro in the Usual Suspects. Took a nothing role, did something weird and wonderful with it, and upstaged the rest of the cast.

Every Film Now@everyfilmnow.bsky.social

What actor or actress was the most perfectly cast role in film or television?

One thing I've found AI to be particularly good at: Surfacing the laziest, most superficial, banal version of whatever might be called an insight. So if I was thinking I had an insight and AI parrots it back to me.... keep working. It ain't there yet.

Doing more to promote fuel efficiency than any president in 50 years.

The WSJ calls it “the most severe energy crisis since the 1970s.” ⛽️ @wsj.com www.wsj.com/world/middle...

Auto mechanic/drinker and hell-if-I-know, because family trees often have gnarled roots. And also it’s a weird question and why are you asking?

Sarah Archer@sarcher.bsky.social

Whether or not you’re running for Congress and trying to seem rugged (and you probably should run, because, look who’s out there) what did your grandpas do for a living?

I have a hard time understanding how Facebook can blow 70 billion+ on VR and AI but can't find a few pennies to build a web site that works.

Most days I think Kansas is a much better place than you’d expect. Today is not one of those days. Today Kansas showed itself as petty, mean and stupid. You can’t undo that.

This morning as I tried not to trip over the cat, I dropped the coffee container on the floor, spilling the whole thing. As I gazed upon the coffee bean blast radius I thought, “well, there’s a hundred bucks gone.”

I had to remind myself today that Brett Ratner was NOT, in fact, the inspiration for Mark Ratner from Fast Times at Ridgemont high. So there's that.
