Red Wolf Woods - Gouache on a 12 X 17 decommissioned sign. Inspired by the red wolves at Point Defiance, where my partner & I had the chance to learn about these incredible wolves.
100 prints will be made, 50% of Proceeds will be donated to saveredwolves.org
Only 21 red wolves remain in the wild.
"...clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness..."
I donβt really have words for how much I love this. I went with the βadventurerβ commission and gave Logan artistic freedom and he came up with this amazing scene of Twig gathering clams for a harvest festival and thatβs exactly what heβd do :3
Heads up!! I'm opening for a small batch of projects on Saturday, September 26 (10 AM Pacific!) for completion in October. Planning to take on 3-4 portraits or adventurer-type pieces.
Prices and examples at animalshapes.ca!
If I'm painting I personally don't care if your ref sheet is flat color, shaded, photographic, text-based, extradimensional, whatever. But the conversation would be different if you wanted me to make a fursuit.
Your refs should be sufficient for the artist and the project.
Day 15: complete an unfinished piece #oc_tober2026
I started this piece this summer after seeing Norman Rockwellβs triple self portrait as a print at a summer house!
Got busy and didnβt take the time to finish it until last weekend βοΈ
#portfolioday :3
Heya Iβm indui! I love creating fantasy art, especially in the theme of gardens/plants, dragons, kitties, and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Happy #portfolioday !!!
I'm River, a wildlife enthusiast and critter artist!! I work with many styles, but enjoy the most very "cottagecore" aesthetics, as well as natural landscapes!
Happy #portfolioday! I'm Arlen, and I love to draw creatures and characters from fantasy and folklore. I'm available for private commissions and freelance projects, and work in digital and traditional mediums.

I tend to do this without thinking about it but perhaps a protip: characters with darker colors towards the bottom are easier to blend into a background. It's where the shadows often fall anyway.
