Made a cool placeholder RC car with just #unity3d primitive shapes! I usually prefer having prototypes which include juice / visuals because it's really hard to guage the fun / appeal otherwise. It's better than using a capsule or a cube. Can skip blender in the protoype phase. #gamedev

Accidentally added a trail renderer to my player character and it ended up looking like a cape! Decided to keep it! I'd be interested to know if trail renderers have been used for non-trail uses!? #gamedev

It’s such a great talk! I feel compelled to make such a system and explore the possibilities of it both as a designer and a player. When I saw the spelunky slide, I totally wasn’t expecting it. But by the end of the talk, it made so much sense! I wish more GDC talks were made freely available!

My GDC talk is up! It's about the world of Baby Steps, working with what's given, and asking open questions with level design: gdcvault.com/play/1035806...

Adding springs to the bunny ears gives so much life to the animations at zero extra effort. I was inspired to use springs from @walaber.com 's dev streams! Every character I make from now should have a spring appendage! #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

Pass 1 : arms and bounce #gamedev #blender #animation

Motion paths are so useful for figuring out why your animation looks janky. Seeing the motion path loop after fixing it feels so satisfying :) Here, I'm just getting my poses in before working on the timing. #blender #animation #gamedev

Cannon Game Feel Pass 2 : shadows! For the player and the cannon. Makes it easier to understand where the cannon is in 3D space. #gamedev #indiedev #unity3d

1) Photo mode's 'silhouette' option is just the depth buffer. Could use this to make your own effects out of screenshots.
