I hope future Attorneys General understand why moving swiftly against criminals when there is a preponderance of evidence should not be seen as prosecuting your rival. Why? Because raiding publicly a rival party candidate has now used up all the "both sides" in the universe.

According to the most recent financial disclosures from Trump, the president purchased bonds from SpaceX worth up to $5 million on August 18. Two days later, Trump issued a memorandum announcing the purported launching of “the golden age of space transportation.”

Trump's suit appears to be part of Jos. A. Bank's Traveler line. The suit is listed as having been made abroad using a wool-polyester-spandex blend. The company describes it as having the "ultimate stretch" and was designed to minimize body odor.

Is it just me or is the storm prevention center trolling a certain someone by naming storms after non-anglican white names? Or is it that they are picking a biblical name and waiting to see if his dumbass doesn't know Isaias is Isaiah.

Nashville news outlets can spend three days on Dolly, who was a treasure, but the private equity toll road deal handed to a foreign company barely made a blip on the local news.

"I have not been involved in any criminal activity. Nobody did anything wrong here." - Ron DeSantis says after his administration took $10 million of tax payer money from poor sick children and gave it to PACs.

Trump is looking to be viewed like another Andrew Jackson. Expansionist, populist, warrior. He's doing a solid job as another Andrew Johnson. Racist, opposition to human rights, impeached asshat.

Hey School Board, set a budget and expect the Superintendent to spend less than budgeted. Problem solved. If all this outrage is about what is being bought, create a policy and budget. Otherwise, shut up and stop asking for a refund because you sound like a Karen. www.wsmv.com/2026/04/30/7...

I have a few questions and thoughts. A short thread: 1) Will AI make my child unemployable in a few years when he enters the job market? 2) Will AI investors lose confidence and tank the stock market? 3) Will AI become sentient or fight another AI or humans and plunge earth into war (worse)?

So the last question...yeah. I dunno. If we replace people with half-baked agentic AI to select targets to murder people in other sovereign nations and those nations use a computer designed to mimic stupid humans to decide if they should retaliate...WWIII might be our future.

You only have to experience a few terrible customer service interactions, read about AI making child porn, or sit in a few Waymo traffic jams to know that products are hitting the market before they are ready for primetime.

If consolidation of healthcare, grocery, media, telecommunication, and food production has taught me anything is that profit comes first. Expect AI talk to shift from "what it will do" to "the rates have been jacked up and quality is no better"

Based on the enshitification of technology in web2.0, healthcare, and gig based offerings I can't help but believe that pressure to return a profit on AI is going to outpace it becoming useful enough for people to adopt. It has to be cheaper than human labor and actually perform the work.

I believe, based on my life history (i'm 46), that a recession caused by an economic bubble popping is more likely that AI being a business disruptor that puts people in the unemployment line. The Internet changed our world more, in less time, than electricity, the car, or elastic waist bands.

It makes sense to me that Marsha Blackburn wants to handpick enough white voters in West Tennessee to offset the black voters she perceives as Democrats. She grew up in segregated Mississippi. Her Highschool desegregated the year after she graduated. We need better representation.

If Republicans feel really strongly about getting taxpayers to pay for Trump's golden ballroom, they should go out there and hold some town halls with their constituents. They can bring photos of the chandeliers and maybe a sample of the marble for them to look at. I'm sure it'll be a big hit!

I flipped to MSNBC and heard the anchor say the strait of Hormuz was open rhetorically. Really? Really? Really. Our news organizations are now sensationalism factories with no relation to accuracy or truth. Find locally run and community owned media. Support them.

A reporter on CNN just said we need anthropic AI to help us find the weaknesses that our government has and make them more secure. She said this is a purely and offensive approach. How did you graduate college to become a reporter if you don't know the difference between offense and defense?

We are being drained by mergers of stores, airlines, prod studios, media companies, and have already suffered due to consolidation of need outlets, phone carriers, banks, pharmacies, concert ticketing, and healthcare. For what good is it to have a great portfolio if you can't live to spend it?

TN Dept of commerce found that CVS reimbursed its stores up to 16,500% more for certain drugs than non-affiliated locations (competition). Now you understand why they have TV ads threatening the closure of stores if they can't self-deal. Let's make this bill law TN! share.google/lIwYulQ4BgYQ...

I am sure now. All droids should be voiced by Alan Tudyk or Richard Ayoade. David Tennant is acceptable in a pinch. Honestly, the only thing about Star Wars in recent years that has been indisputable is droid casting.
