Fellow poets, what are the cool places to read and submit poetry to lately? It's been a while since I've regularly sent out work, and I'd like to get back into it.

Red Rain is a gorgeous post-apocalyptic game about what a mother will do for her daughter. It’s an emotional gut punch. I’m so proud of my friends at @smallloanstudio.bsky.social for releasing this one! go check it out for free on Steam: store.steampowered.com/app/4087210/...

#FridayReads A Wall Is Also a Road by @annaleen.bsky.social is so much fun! I love the balance of how alien the main character is with how relatably familiar their life is. Can't wait to get deeper into their investigations!

Original artwork from artists I admire. A home library filled with more books than I can read. Multiple video game consoles. Lots of Halloween decor, so I can go all out for the holiday. Trips to cons I haven’t been to before.

question for the audience: if you were ultra rich (let’s say $25M), what completely frivolous thing are you buying?

Probably my favorite of the series so far. I’m also really mad about the ending. My feelings right now are complicated.

A fantastic episode, presenting a compelling exploration of myths like Pygmalion, Narcissus, and others.

Imaginary Worlds@emolinsky.bsky.social

With all the talk about AI these days, it’s hard not to think of movies like The Matrix or Her. But it’s possible that sci-fi isn’t the best prism to understand AI right now. We explore why ancient myths have a lot to say about chatfishing, deathbots and an AI apocalypse.

Whenever I do one of these lists, I always realize after posting that I’ve left something out or switch something out. But this is a pretty solid list for me.

The highlight of the night, however, was the Winchester Mystery House. The house itself is stunning, but the haunts and bars and decorations are all so well done. Would absolutely go again.

Well, I need this.

What are some video game soundtracks you like to listen to while you work? I’m listening to the Hotline Miami soundtrack right now (haven’t played the game), and I’m digging the 80s synth vibes.

I generally like music without lyrics (otherwise I can’t focus on editing or proofreading). Other soundtracks I listen to a lot are Journey, The Last of Us 1 & 2, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I also like the Zelda and Chill and Pokémon and Chill remixes.
