In the West, competing against Google in AI will be like competing against Google in web search. The surviving one-trick pony plus smaller AI companies will have some market share, but not much, haha.

The career ladder will collapse I predict. Especially careers with narrow focus. Seeking a career today is like investing the horse and buggy industry when the first cars started to appear. Or like a career in manual weaving when the weaving machine was invented.

If automation will make products and services super cheap, where is the trillions of dollars revenue going to come from? The AI companies conveniently omit to mention that part. China will eat Altman's and Musk's lunches.

Future AI demand is an open question, very much more so than in mature industries. This allows AI and datacenter providers to make up all kinds of fanciful numbers about backlogs and future demand and revenue. Nobody has a yardstick yet for measuring the accuracy of their claims.

Let the Luddites do the wage slavery, while the rest of us use universal high income, and later not even that when progress in automation makes even money itself obsolete.

My latest description of causality: Existence as a whole, including its entire history and future, is the cause of every individual event within it. #Philosophy

I believe we humans will stay on top of AI by stepping into higher abstraction levels of thinking. For ordinary thinking however it's comparable to AI in the same way manual calculations compare to using a pocket calculator.

J. Krishnamurti said that knowledge is the past. Knowledge is also a map. And a map is not the territory. That map is part of what is, so it is a part of truth but not the whole truth. To see the whole truth one must go beyond the map, beyond knowledge. #Philosophy #Epistemology

People complain about AI and say it's artificial, yet they are glued to their phones all day like drug addicts. Can one get more artificial than a tiny flat digital screen?

AI looks like a staged show! Do OpenAI and Anthropic have Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube or Waymo? No, they are like one-trick mice compared to the AI elephant Google who pretends to be an even smaller mouse. Google is keeping a low profile in AI. #Finance

The dark underbelly of business is that companies infiltrate competitor to sabotage them from within. For example a developer lead that steers a project down the drain. Watch out! #Business

Are conspiracy theories false? Generally, yes! They are controlled opposition. The part of the public who don't buy into the official storyline are given alternative views to chew on.

My guess is that the Fed has to hike the rate like crazy! To soften the blow from a yen carry trade unwind. Of course the Fed can't go overboard, but notice how the signals have flipped from cutting the rate to hiking it. #Finance

Should we worry about personal problems or ignore them? There is a third way! To mindfully observe the problems in mind and body and actively relax them. #Health #Mindfulness

The more you use your phone, the more you escape from the rest of your life. You become trapped within a tiny flat screen, while everything else starts to appear more and more hostile and unpleasant to you. #Psychology #Addiction

If Nvidia tech is for small companies, then why are huge datacenters being built with it? They aren't. AI datacenter projects are being cancelled left and right. Not the datacenters with Google TPUs, but those planned for Nvidia GPUs.

Haha! USD to yen 153,63. Finally the yen is strengthening in the direction I have predicted. But we will see if the trend continues. I think Japan has started to bring back investments home. #Finance

I suspect China doesn't use ASML machines. Why did they buy them? As a monumental stage magician trick! Stage magicians use outrageous methods ordinary people would never think of. #Semiconductors

I saw an ad in ChatGPT! I actually like that since the ad is fairly nonintrusive and could potentially allow OpenAI to offer more of their advanced AI models for free.

Fear reduces the mind's ability to think, so why are investors talking so much about fear? Because financial markets are casinos where only the scammers need to think (unless they use specially trained AI). #Psychology

All humans have equal value, but some have better ideas in some areas. Ray Kurzweil I think has great ideas (many of them). Other experts, not so much so, haha.

Whoa! I have never seen "No chart available" before. Maybe Japan pulled the unwind trigger and charts are in a state of confusion at the moment. #Finance

Are Google and China pretending to be weak? Yes! That's what I think. And it will be easy to compare the idea to the actual future situation. According to my theory Google and China will totally dominate in for example AI.

People believe Google is running an altruistic charity, and gave away their best AI knowledge to all their competitors for free with their Attention Is All You Need paper. Talk about being gullible. #AI

Kid in the future: "Grandpa, why did people get fooled by a clown in a leather jacket?" Grandpa: "Because they didn't understand technology." Kid: "Did only priests understand tech?" Grandpa: "Something like that."

Classical math inludes infinities, which is useful, but computation is finite. Treating finite logic and discrete systems not as a replacement, but as a deliberate subset, a safe sandbox, removes paradoxes and uncomputable limits, and guarantees absolute predictability. #Logic

I suspect China is manipulating the West! Has China been unwilling or incapable of manufacturing advanced lithography machines? I see that as unlikely. As someone said, China is hiding its strength.

Companies that try to adopt AI are like the horse and buggy industry trying to bolt an engine into the horse. New companies will emerge that use AI from the ground up.

Maybe emotions are the advanced intelligence! Imagine a man winning millions or his daughter dying. Without emotions his reaction would be blank, neither positive nor negative. The intellect is a computer, like a chess program, perhaps overrated, which AI now reveals. #Psychology
