Trump is trying to sow doubt in our elections. He knows Americans stand against his agenda of chaos, high costs, and corruption. Joined Kate Boulduan on @cnn.com to talk about how these threats are just the latest reflection of Republicans' failures.

Great tour of the new NOAA Marine Operations Center in Newport. Home to four research vessels, it will provide vital ocean data to fishermen, coastal communities & maritime industries. This is what the Blue Economy is all about: good jobs, expanding knowledge & building a resilient future.

One of my jobs in Congress is holding Trump & his Cabinet accountable for hurting Rhode Islanders. That’s why I called out Russ Vought for his harmful health care cuts & Secretary Wright for his lies about lowering energy costs. I won’t back down because you deserve answers.

Congressman Gabe Amo@amo.house.gov

Trump promised to Make America Affordable Again. Instead he slashed billions from "blue state” DOE energy projects, including three in Rhode Island. I pressed Secretary Wright in the Science, Space & Technology Committee to stop playing politics and restart the projects.

Happy AmeriCorps Opening Day! Thank you to the AmeriCorps members and partners showing up for Rhode Island communities every day. Your work makes a real difference, and I’ll keep fighting to protect the federal funding that helps you get it done.

As the son of immigrants, I know how much the oath of citizenship means. It was an honor to welcome 30 new citizens to our country. Their journeys remind us that America is strongest when everyone has the chance to belong, contribute, and build a future.

Joined local advocates in raising awareness of sickle cell anemia. Grateful to the Armstead-Barnhill Foundation for sharing powerful stories and art about this disease, which disproportionately affects people of color.

After seven years with Troop 1139 of Slatersville, congratulations to Jesse Wright on earning the rank of Eagle Scout. His Eagle project helped build commemorative signs to recognize the unique history of Slatersville & Branch Village. Great to see a young RI’er giving back to our community.

Explored the hidden corners of America's second-largest bastion fort, Fort Adams! From its original completion in 1799 to being the place where Bob Dylan “went electric,” glad to appreciate this historic site at the Fort Adams Block Party with the community.

As grocery prices rise, the Little Compton Food Bank is helping make sure families don’t go hungry. Recognized Sue Chace, volunteers, donors, and staff for their hard work delivering food directly to the Little Compton & Tiverton communities they serve. Grateful for these inspiring efforts!

This year, my team & I have: ✅Helped resolve more than 300 issues for Rhode Islanders 💵Returned over $335,000 to Rhode Islanders in the First District Need help with a federal agency? My office is here to help. 📞 401-729-5600 📧 AmoOffice@mail.house.gov

Rhode Island manufacturers like Solid State Power are developing cutting-edge tech, creating good-paying jobs, and propelling RI’s Blue Economy into the future. Glad to tour their Pawtucket facility and see how their marine battery power technology is making discovery possible.

Honored the nine Rhode Island Marines who lost their lives 43 years ago during a bombing attack in Beirut, Lebanon. Alongside families, loved ones, and community members, we remembered these fallen heroes at the Providence memorial.

Union workers power Rhode Island’s economy. They deserve fair wages, safe workplaces, and a strong voice. At Ironworkers Local 37, I reaffirmed my commitment to protecting the rights of workers and strengthening the livelihoods of their families.

Thrilled to witness a milestone for RI’s Edesia Nutrition & their mission to end child malnutrition across the globe. Their expanded facility will allow them to produce even more of their lifesaving product, give 10 million children a chance to thrive & create opportunities at home. 🇺🇸

Masked ICE agents detaining a father and his children on the streets of Providence is unacceptable. These intimidation tactics & dangerous escalations have no place in our communities and make us less safe. It’s time to end this cruelty.

Talked to budding engineers, electricians, programmers, and technicians about the career opportunities of the Blue Economy at Polaris MEP’s Manufacturing Day. These young people are inventing the future and I can’t wait to see what they build next!

🛥️ Skilled workers at Hinckley Yachts in Portsmouth are keeping world-class boats in good shape for winter while supporting Rhode Island’s maritime industry. Great to see their work on my Blue Economy Tour and the skilled workforce helping keep this industry strong.

The first weekend of the 2026 Warren Walkabout was full of food, art, unique stores, and more! ☀️ Got to enjoy a coffee cabinet (IYKYK) with RI Senator Felag at the famous Delekta’s Pharmacy.🥤

Congratulations to Senate Majority Leader Frank Ciccone on being named the 2026 Italo-American Person of the Year and the Italo-American Club’s scholarship winners!🇮🇹

First, Trump politicized disaster aid. Now, his allies want to leave states & communities to fend for themselves. I’ve seen first hand how FEMA exists to help Americans recover and rebuild. Slashing this assistance will only hurt people.

politico.comFEMA tells states to handle disasters on their ownThe Trump administration plans to cut disaster aid in as few as six months and shift responsibility to states, FEMA's administrator said in remarks obtained by POLITICO.

Honored 100 years of United Way’s work to strengthen our communities at a very special Waterfire! Thank you to the entire United Way of RI team for helping Rhode Islanders build lives full of stability, security, and opportunity.

In awe of the strength and commitment of Rhode Islanders who turned out in Providence to Walk to End Alzheimer’s. For the thousands of Rhode Island families impacted by Alzheimer’s, I will keep working to increase funding for research and treatment to end this disease.

Trump and House GOP cut $1 trillion from our health system & failed to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, forcing thousands of RI’ers to go without care. It's time to pass the Protecting Health Care & Lowering Costs Act so Americans can see a doctor & afford needed care.

Celebrated the RI labor movement's commitment to working people with United Way of Rhode Island! Great to honor Dante F. Mollo Awardee, IUPAT & RI Building Trades Leader Scott Duhamel, a dedicated fighter for jobs and opportunity.

Sharing my deepest sympathies for the victims of the shooting at Silver Rail Elementary and all those who loved them.  It's a terrible night for this community and reminds us of the far too many others taken by gun violence.

Community Health Centers are essential. Grateful to recognize their contributions at RI Health Center Association’s Annual Meeting, and the work we must do to protect our communities from the harm of the Big, Ugly Law. We must invest in CHCs & stop the cuts that leave Americans poorer and sicker.

Thoughtful discussion with RI’s engineering leaders at the ACEC Fall Breakfast. From transportation infrastructure to sustainable materials, we need to think big to build for the future. I’ll keep working to deliver reliable federal funding and help develop a workforce to get it done.

More than $2.3 million in federal funding to improve water quality & restore ecosystems across RI and MA. I’m glad to work alongside @reed.senate.gov and others to secure investments to protect local waters, strengthen habitats & preserve natural resources for years to come.

Americans are paying the price at the gas pump for Trump’s illegal war with Iran while Putin cashes in and funds his war of aggression with Ukraine. Congress should pass the End Russian Oil Windfalls Act and stop letting Putin profit at America and the world’s expense.

Ranking Member @meeks.house.gov, joined by all HFAC Democrats, condemn President Trump’s decision to license Russian diesel purchases and call on Congress to pass the End Russian Oil Windfalls Act.

In case it wasn’t clear before, Trump’s actions are driving up costs. An unending, unnecessary war with Iran is keeping gas and diesel prices soaring — making everything else even more expensive. It doesn’t have to be this way. Americans deserve better.

Inflation rose faster than expected last month, with more everyday costs climbing https://cnn.it/4dDgtWA

Make no mistake: Trump is weaponizing the federal government to target @repilhan.bsky.social. Our government should serve the people, not a president’s personal grudges. Stop the political intimidation. Stop the abuse of power.

Breaking News: Homeland Security agents executed a search warrant at the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. The Justice Department has historically avoided such investigative moves related to political candidates so close to elections. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...
