Alyxx the Rat 🏳️‍⚧️🐀

Hello, everyone! I am a trans female rat from Norway who loves talking about games and tech. I make game reviews (kinda) mostly. I livestream weekly on Fridays and Saturdays as well. linktr.ee/alyxxtherat

Gawrsh, Mickey.

Looking forward to this being utterly broken on launch and having a risk of bricking my system.

New video going up on Saturday. You don't wanna miss this one.

A glimpse of the hottest gaming PC in 1995 and the hottest mech game of the same year: Mechwarrior 2. But as we can see, not even $3000 worth of mid 90s PC could push SVGA MW2 at anywhere near a smooth frame rate. Which yeah, has been my experience running it on similar spec VMs. #VideoBytes

I would argue if you did not own a Mega Drive, buying one that had a CD drive would be tempting.

Man what a crashout to go out on.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Richard “Levelord” Gray. From his legendary work on Duke Nukem 3D to the countless players and developers he inspired, Richard leaves behind a lasting legacy. Rest in peace, Levelord.

RIP Levelord Playing SiN Reloaded in your memory.

i have a disease where commonly used terms and expression like "artificial difficulty" "aged well" "respects the players time" "quality of life" "player expression" etc. make me break out in hives

I think the wildest thing about being post-twitter is that you can tell, just in regular conversation, when someone still uses it. There’s an underlying anger and a like… disconnect regarding what people actually think/care about?

You betcha

Working on a review of this. In the meantime you should check it out. On discount for a limited time!

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

a quickly-made vid while I continue sickness recovery, blegh youtu.be/kpqfpvnhNM0 Going over the nifty stuff I got at VCF Midwest! And asking viewers a genuine question at the end. Picking and prioritizing which subjects to cover on LGR is becoming increasingly tricky so I really do want feedback!

I'm currently the only one of three disabled trans people in my household who can work, but 16 months of being bedridden and an ongoing chronic migraine issue has left us very broke. If you can spare a few dollars, it'd really help, thanks! ko-fi.com/fooneturing

A lot of us have either used or enjoyed the Death Generator and the other bits and pieces Alice does in spite of chronic health issues and disability. I'll be throwing in some coin; join me in doing so if you can. 💜

Committing a whole lotta SiN today, who's with me?!

This probably doesn't need to be said but I will anyway. I will never use AI generated content in my videos or any of my creative works. I will also not use AI tools. I will also generally not cover anything made using genAI. Thank you.

Last week @lethalguitar.bsky.social and I went to London to visit the Evercade Nexus Community First Play. I made a video of our trip. Watch the full video here: youtu.be/XSTuxmryGnM @evercade.co.uk

"All around the stactus plant, the stalker chased the bandit. The stalker thought it was all in good fun. POP goes the bandit." Happy 14th!

@collodion1884.bsky.social I removed that ugly label on the Hovertank One Wikipedia article, by adding info from books and respectable websites. Granted, not every source has a favorable opinion, but all together it should give a balanced impression of the game. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoverta...

🌄 Spot the family resemblance? #SEGAsaturday morning, we look at two #SEGA analogue controllers Saturn's 3D Pad/Multi Controller (Top) & Dreamcast pad (Bottom) Did you know SEGA analogue pads of this nature actuality trace their roots back to the 1990 Megadrive Xe-1ap? #GamersUnite #RetroGaming

Probably the best Windows 9x defrag simulation I've seen thus far! defrag98.com It's a more legit simulation than I've seen before. So each time you load this up you get a new virtual drive that's differently fragmented, rather than just playing back a preset animation

One more in the list of things that would turn the Famicom into more than just a games console: The Study Box. This was an educational program accessory that used tapes rather than cartridges or disks, and was rented out rather than sold. 📖: BEEP, April 1986

This is why I curate my own genAI free bubble. Minimizing exposure to AI art and AI generated content keeps my faith in humanity at an acceptable level.

I want to drink these

I know this isn't much for a lot of YouTube channels. But for me, 500 views means a lot. It means I've reached 500 people. I'm very happy to see this number on a video I made and seeing it climb further. Working on another video rn and this is very motivating!

It would be nice if this inflated view count thing in youtube translated to better adrev payout but noooooooo its just meaningless. Continue to toil away in the content mines you plebs.
