Here's how our results look if you are in the Altmetric Explorer. We like to call this the Andrew Wakefield Life Simulator:

Try our new retraction feature out for yourself! 1) Publish a fraudulent study* 2) Wait for the inevitable retraction 3) See your name in lights right next to "Retracted" on our details pages. Awesome! *not Awesome at all. Please don't really do this.

This feature pairs nicely with the sentiment analysis we rolled out last year. Negative commentary on social media in can presage a potential retraction. Combining clear retraction status with sentiment gives an idea about public reaction to a piece of research amid a retraction process.

Fascinating but troubling story in @theguardian.com about "professional identity hijacking". Health & science journalist Linda Geddes is among those targeted - she quotes Digital Science's VP of Research Integrity & Security, Dr Leslie McIntosh. @mcintold.bsky.social Worth a read.

Hey @raphaelwimmer.bsky.social you got a shout out on Conspiracy the Show podcast from @adamtodbrown.bsky.social about these posts. Good job!

Currently, a diagram is making the rounds that is claimed to show a significant reduction in Russian disinformation bot activity after Ukrainian drones hit Yandex data centers. There is no evidence that this plot shows real data. I suspect that this image is AI-generated.

It's not often that an app launches a feature you've been waiting a decade for. This week, that dream came real. Altmetric has added a timeline for Mendeley. Why does this matter? Timelines are essential to understand "what activities drive engagement and impact". #scientometrics #altmetrics

NEW Mendeley Readership History timeline on Details Pages. When we launched the attention timelines on our details pages last year, one item was conspicuously absent: Mendeley. Until now, Details Pages could only show where the count of Mendeley readers stands today. Here's what you get today:
