The Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal is bringing a little bit of joy to Australian families doing it tough. And that’s something our whole Parliament can support.

Welcome to Australia, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. 🇦🇺🇯🇴 For 50 years our nations have worked together to promote peace, strengthen security and help those in need. At a time of growing uncertainty, that matters more than ever. And working side by side, we can keep making a difference.

On the world stage, delivering for Australians back home. Because the biggest challenges we face are global ones. And our international partnerships matter more than ever.

Australia has never stood on the sidelines. We’ve always played our part in building a safer and more peaceful world. Today we’re launching our campaign for a seat on the UN Security Council for 2029–30. We will listen with respect. We will partner as equals. And we will protect what matters most.

Better healthcare for women at a lower cost. From cheaper contraceptives and IVF treatment to better endometriosis and menopause care, we’re making the changes women have been calling for. And now more than a million women are already saving. Because women’s health deserves to be taken seriously.

Helping first home buyers. Making Medicare stronger. Creating good, secure jobs. And helping with the cost of living. That’s what our ministry and government is focused on delivering for Australians.

With 56 Medicare Mental Health Centres now open across the country, you don’t need a referral or an appointment. Because when you’re struggling with your mental health, getting help shouldn’t be a struggle too.

More home batteries = cheaper power bills. We’ve already helped half a million Australian households get a cheaper home battery, with more making the switch every day. So Australians can get cheaper, cleaner energy at home.

More paid prac to help students graduate. In case you didn’t catch it, that’s paid prac for student paramedics, pharmacists, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, radiographers, audiologists, podiatrists, and rehabilitation therapists.

The relationship between Australia and India has never been stronger 🇦🇺🇮🇳 And today we’re building on our ties in defence, trade, investment and energy. As well as our work in education and technology. Because together, we can be a force for peace and prosperity in our region.

Built in Australia. Ready for the road. This Australian-made Volvo electric truck is helping drive a cleaner future. More things made here means more secure jobs, stronger industries and a stronger economy. That’s the future we’re building.

Making more Australian products means more jobs for Australian workers. And that’s what this new Vitex Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility will do right here in Western Sydney. Australian made products are the best in the world and we’ll keep backing them.

When my son was little, most Australians didn’t have access to paid parental leave. In 2011, Labor changed that to give young families a better start. And yesterday we expanded paid parental leave to six months. I’m proud of how far we’ve come. And we’ll keep delivering real change.

We’re throwing everything we can at housing. 5% deposits for first home buyers. Fairer housing taxes. And more homes being built right across the country. Because everyone deserves a place to call home.

We're rolling out more tax cuts for working Australians now. Plus an extra $250 off working Australians’ tax bills permanently. And our new $1,000 instant tax deduction, no receipts needed. Because we know every bit of help matters.

We’re taking action to secure fuel now and into the future. By buying and storing more fuel, and finding ways to make more fuel here. This will protect Australians from future fuel shortages and help keep the country moving.
