This is my first close encounter with a stoat! Very curious, approaching and retreating. It would hide behind a bucket etc., then poke its head out to regard me. Did this several times before scurrying off. It runs like a wolverine, with rocking horse movement with its gait #alaskasky

Just for the record, the green is a typical characteristic of this type of mushroom. I think it helps keep novice mushroom hunters away. It definitely does not deter squirrels, with whom we need to frequently compete to nab these mushrooms before they do. They put them high in a tree to mock you
