Dift has now commit history navigation. Open a commit to review its changes, or switch to the full file tree to see every file as it was at that point. You can also select two commits to compare. gitlab.com/akhansari/dift #git #diff #tui
Love working with the coding agent (here OpenCode) and Dift (gitlab.com/akhansari/dift) side-by-side. Having both gives me fast feedback loop, control, and continuous learning.
"I read code." Meet Dift: Git diffs, live. gitlab.com/akhansari/dift Built in Rust using @ratatui.rs, gix, notify, similar, and other excellent libraries.

Today on the pod: pnpm 12, htmx 4, Remix 3 RC, Waku 1 RC, Porforr alpha, type-level dice rolls, full-stack TS/.NET safety. Plus, which community members are committing compile-time crimes? All that and more! share.transistor.fm/s/eb0116e8 #typescript
If the LLM supports it, prompt the narrative, business logic, and structural rules in your native lang instead of English, but keep the output in English. Expressing yourself in your mother tongue allows for maximum clarity and nuance, reducing ambiguity and quality degradation. It's a game changer.
The Designing with Types series is finally complete. Using #TypeScript and Effect to model domain rules, make illegal states unrepresentable, and turn primitive values into validated domain types. Inspired by Scott Wlaschin's original F# series. akhansari.tech/series/desig...
I can't wait for the next stable releases of @effect-ts.bsky.social, @drizzle.team, and OpenCode!

Ok, I've switched completely to nubjs.com. It seems pretty good so far, so I'll evaluate it over the next few weeks. +nub -pnpm -tsx -concurrently
Is it just me, or ever since the pnpm devs started vibe coding, every new release comes with pretty annoying basic bugs?
DBCrab finally has a proper home: akhansari.gitlab.io/dbcrab/ Its a #PostgreSQL client for people who enjoy working in the terminal. Take a look and let me know what you think!
Simple prompt to evaluate AGENTS.md. "What do you understand when these instructions are given to you: <content>"
Oh there is now an official page for this: opensource.org/ai
Open-Weight != Open-Source Open-Model means nothing. Open-Weight could be proprietary and having license. Open-Weight > Closed-Weight because you can own your data and infra.

Big update for DBCrab - Named/Saved SQLs. - [breaking] Switch to KDL configuration. - Switch from Codeberg to GitLab. gitlab.com/akhansari/db... #postgres #repl #tui
OK, I couldn't imagine Codeberg would be to this extent. They don't even see LLMs as a tool to be used properly (Like Linus Torvalds said). They are literally hostile toward this. But I can totally understand their position as a non-profit organisation. blog.codeberg.org/protecting-o...
