I only recently got into Mass Effect, so to know that I'll never have the pleasure of waiting for the next entry alongside its fans is quite the let down. Hopefully the ip and those working on it can get picked up by another studio. Fuck ea.

Edgerunners season 2 was absolutely perfect. I loved season 1, but this story wound up resonating with me much more, which was an incredible delight.

Honestly I'd really love to write a graphic novel at some point, but I have no idea where I'd find an artist, so that's mostly just procrastination. #WriteSky #ComicSky

Does anyone know if #WriteSky has any upcoming pitch events? I always enjoy them, but they tend to sneak up on me before I know they're coming. #WritingCommunity

Trying to decide on what book I'll write next has been a lot more difficult than I expected. There's more pressure on having a really solid idea because I actually plan on querying this one, so it's not easy to lock in any one concept. #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

I'm curious what people think is a reasonable price for a book these days? I just picked one up for $45 as a gift, and I couldn't help but chafe at that price tag, especially given the book itself was 200 pages. #WriteSky #BookSky #WritingCommunity

This is now wrapped up. I'll be reaching out to the winners as soon as I can.

Here's something a little exciting. I have two tickets to give away for the Sunshine Coast Fiction Festival and entering couldn't be easier. All you need to do is reply to this post with your FAVOURITE BOOK and you're in for a chance to win. #BookSky #WriteSky

It's nice to be reading a book that's not my own for the first time in months. Like listening to yourself speak, reading your own writing can get very grating after a while. I'm enjoying The Dragon Republic so far. Hopefully I continue to do so, because Poppy War let me down. #BookSky #WriteSky

Book 2 is fully done and released! This means that, finally, I can stop writing this one thing and start writing three other things, simultaneously! #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

#SongsOfSeptember 8 I really have two many focal characters for this to be feasible. I keep it to a playlist per series/world and just refer to those when needed.

Niki Bond@nikibond.bsky.social

#SongsOfSeptember Day 8 Technical Question! Do you do individual playlists for characters or couples, or do you put everything on one big playlist? Or maybe per book, if you do a series? Don't forget to tag!

#SongsOfSeptember 7 If this were a jukebox musical, I think Queen Cecilia would probably sing parts of Ash Again a few times, before having the full song as a duet with Artorius during the climax.

#SongsOfSeptember Day 7 Musical Monday! If your story was a musical, what's one of the songs your characters would sing? It could be a solo for someone, a cast song, a duet--have fun with it~ You can pick a song you think fits or even make up a title to fit your characters! Don't forget to tag!

I listened to this multiple times while writing the last chapter of book 1 featuring Raph and Nath. Their story in that book isn't strictly romantic, but the vibe of the song really helped me get into the tone of the scene. #SongsOfSeptember 5

#SongsOfSeptember Day 5 Let's Duet: Share a song that fits a major couple in your story. Don't have any romantic couples? Feel free to make all of these platonic! Just pick one strong relationship for it. And don't forget to tag! And uh, sorry for the late post! I dozed off.

#SongsOfSeptember 4 A Good Song Never Dies by Saint Motel. I heard it playing at the cinema recently and remembered I'd heard it before but forgotten to add it to my playlist. So now it is.

#SongsOfSeptember Day 4 What’s the most recent song you added to your playlist and why? Feel free to interpret 'most recent' however! It could be before the prompt game started, most recent on a certain playlist (if you have multiple), etc. Don’t forget to tag your post!

#SongsOfSeptember 3 Paris Paloma's 'The Rider' was the initial inspiration for Leonora as a character I played in DnD and eventually evolved into an important figure throughout The Doomsday Mosaic.

#SongsOfSeptember Day 3 Character Song: Main Character. Give us a song that fits them. Could be in lyrics, feel, because you listen to it when writing them, etc~ Don’t forget to tag your post! And while it's not required, I very much appreciate youtube links for adding it to the master playlist~

#SongsOfSeptember 2 There's never one song that can encapsulate an entire story or book, espeically with so many characters with very different motives and arcs, but Compass by Mili is one I come back to a lot regarding a main plot point that surrounds a few characters.

#SongsOfSeptember Day 2 What's a song you heavily associate with your story? It could be for the plot, the main character, the main conflict--just one you feel fits it well~ I'll add the full month list below if you want to make sure you don't use a song you want to save for later!

Hello #SongsOfSeptember I'm AJ Anderson and I'm currently editing my second book. I've had many 'favourite' songs over the years, but Do I Wanna Know? is one I come back to a lot. Phantom Liberty is also a contender. Neither are on my writing list because they don't really fit the vibe (yet).

#SongsOfSeptember: Day 1 Welcome! Introduce yourself, tell us what you're working on, and your favorite song. Bonus: Is your favorite song on your story's playlist? Why or why not?

Even if this wasn't bullshit, the absolute nerve to suggest using ai and think that's something any indie author would fuck with is insane. I'm not going to pay you so you can churn out slop based on my work while also destroying the planet. I gain nothing from that. Fuck off.

I hate that this is the first I'm hearing of this being a thing. Feels like something that shouldn't have flown so easily under the radar for so long.

SCOOP: 404 Media placed a tracking device in a shipment of rare books to see which AI company was buying it. What did we find? It ended up at an Amazon facility where Amazon scans and destroys books. Yes. This is literally the logo outside the Amazon warehouse door. Read now:

Nah fuck the KOTOR remake I don't want it anymore if saber's making it. I can replay the original whenever I like and not have to wonder whether it was written by actual writers or not

We are on the verge of a climatic upheaval greater than any of us can imagine. Global leaders and media aren't paying attention. They are focused on a series of self-inflicted crises that have left us dangerously vulnerable and totally unprepared. My latest. charlieangus.substack.com/p/what-keeps...

I really enjoyed taking part in Art Fight this year. I haven't really being doing as much drawing recently, as I've been entirely focused on more pressing projects, but it was a good excuse to get back into it. Thanks to those who revenged on me, and I'll look forward to doing more next year!

I gotta say that Charles Soule writing Venom is one of the best crossovers I could have possibly hoped for. I had a feeling the team was building up to Soule taking over, after he joined on for the Brock/Carnage story, and I'm so glad to be proven right.

Tried drawing one of the characters from the previews, but I feel like I just wound up making emo Hatsune Miku?

Once again, microsoft's onedrive has decided to erase pretty much all of my progress from my last additions to the draft. Fuck everyone who worked on this abhorrent thing

Right now I'm working at Book 2 of the Doomsday Mosaic, which should be good to release late August. I have a preview of that on my website, as well as one for my first book. And if either of those strike your fancy, you can pick up that book below: books2read.com/definedbydam... #TBBChat

Back when the weather was less cold, I would sit outside and write of a morning. I have a specific playlist for any stories I write within this world, but sometimes I'd just let it go through my regular playlist as well and that would be just as helpful at times. #TBBChat #WriteSky

TBB Chat Q5: What’s your ideal cozy writing set-up? Where are you, what ambience or music is playing, what are you up to? #TBBChat #BookBazaar26 #Writing #Writesky

I've kind of always wanted to cosplay Ben Solo from The Rise of Skywalker after he's come back to the light. He's literally just wearing black pants and a black long sleeve shirt, so it'd be the easiest cosplay of a character I like that I could possibly pull off. #TBBChat

TBB Chat Q4: If you were to cosplay one of your favorite characters, what clothing, accessories, and cosmetics would you need? #TBBChat #BookBazaar26 #Writing #Writesky

For the longest time, my answer would have been no, but the night before last I did have a dream with the villain of my current WIP in it. Nothing else about the dream's premise had anything to do with my own work, but Echidna was there and she was as threatening as ever. #TBBChat #WriteSky

TBB Chat Q3: Do you ever dream about your characters? #TBBChat #BookBazaar26 #Writing #Writesky

Tough one... I think as far as sheer strangeness of source goes, I think I'd have to say the Bible? The inspirations are very surface level, but they did give me some ideas for what my next book will be about, and the way it'll be structured. #TBBChat #WriteSky

TBB Chat Q2: What’s the strangest place you’ve ever drawn story or character inspiration from? #TBBChat #BookBazaar26 #Writing #Writesky
