Vivek Ramaswamy calling his opponent a whiner because she has spoken about her past as a child sexual abuse victim. And then choosing to use her estranged mom (because her mom supported her mom's child raping spouse) in an attack ad. This is the GOP. Write down who participates in these attacks.

Until she was disparaging various individuals on the left, I had never known who Neera Tanden was. I guess she's saved most of her energy for disparaging those within the democratic party rather than the authoritarian administration. And that's all I really have needed to learn about her.

@atrupar.com curious about a local political race that could have real consequences - Anders Folk appears to have conservative backing and has been trying to get ahead of Cedric Frazier for Hennepin County Attorney. Since ICE prosecutions are a real concern... any journalistic input on the matter?

“In some ways, Axon is actually worse than Flock,” EFF's @maassive.bsky.social told @indyweek.bsky.social. “Flock never had mobile license plate cameras, and Axon does. They install them on patrol cars, and that means patrol cars become like roving data vacuums.”

NEW: Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) used the following words to describe data center developers today; "Predators" "Bullies" "Secretive" Shapiro signed a new state exec order tightening restrictions on data centers, requiring they get local approvals & provide their own power

Based on every recording of someone being tazed: an individual is going to seize up and perhaps appear to not be cooperative while electricity is coursing through their body from those shock gloves. And this is 100% for certain going to be used to justify use of lethal force in that detainment.

Have to say I was a little disheartened to see how my home county was taken to centrist/conservative views, but at least MN is heading in a good direction. Hopefully the milquetoast dem governor candidate doesn't end up inspiring another Ventura. -_-

I'm about to take the stage at Farmfest to talk about my agenda for Minnesota's ag economy. Our economy should work for farmers, not corporations consolidating agricultural production and driving family farmers out.

Midwesterners, I invite you to use a new term I thought of while jogging through the neighborhoods today: Maralago Lawn. A yard that the homeowner has dumped so many chemicals and pollutants on it looks about as fake as the lawns on a DDT pamphlet.

BREAKING: SB 2471 has been signed into law! It’s the first of its kind in the nation and renders the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision irrelevant in Hawaii. This is a win for the movement to get big money, especially dark money, out of politics.

Rep Grijalva: "The problem I see is that this administration makes blanket statements about what's not happening, and we have a portion of our nation that believe them blindly. We have to realize 91% of the people in detention in these concentration camps are in private prisons. So follow the money"

I’m proud to endorse @peggyflanagan.bsky.social. Peggy has the courage to stand up to Donald Trump, reject corporate PAC money, defend immigrant communities, and fight back against the billionaires and special interests rigging our politics and our economy.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is a champion for Minnesota's working families. She's never backed down from a fight or a bully, and she's led with moral clarity and conviction since our days serving in the MN House. I'm proud to have earned her endorsement, and I'm ready to work with her in Washington.

Dude can't even bother to make a sorrowful face to go with the headline. What a twat

Congratulations to @ilhanmn.bsky.social for securing the DFL endorsement for the 5th congressional district! We’re a little over a month away from the Hennepin County DFL convention, and we’re excited to continue having conversations with delegates to earn your support and nomination on June 13th!

Republicans want $1 BILLION in new taxpayer funding to shore up security for Trump's White House ballroom. And don't forget: Corporate donations to construct the ballroom will be tax-deductible. Trump is sticking us with the tab for his vanity project while ignoring what the country really needs.

I no longer like this ride, please let me get off.

Trump: "I took three cognitive tests. Aced all of them, by the way. I'm the only president to take a cognitive test. I don't think Obama could pass it. The first question is very easy -- it's a lion, a giraffe, a bear, and a shark. They say, 'Which one is the bear?'"

He epitomizes "conservative liberal". Leading up to the election his campaign choose to highlight the number of police they hired. Many Minneapolis residents still don't view the MPD as a force they can depend on. It was disheartening to see him getting positive attention nationally...

“It often feels like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has become a goalie blocking far-left policy ideas, while somehow escaping much accountability for conditions in the streets,” writes columnist Eric Roper.

Guaranteed paid leave. Ending algorithmic price-gouging by big grocery chains. Abolishing Super PACs. It's not enough for Democrats to simply oppose Trump. They must offer working people something to vote FOR. The Congressional Progressive Caucus' Affordability Agenda is an excellent start.
