Some of these articles read like Cybertruck owners fawning about how their car is falling apart but they always end with this weird praise. "LLM-generated code is causing 'slopageddon' because so many are submitting fraudulent PRs (but of course it still has its place and most people use it)"
“AI code is the future, all software will have it” Meanwhile, ai code: www.kunalganglani.com/blog/ai-slop...
https://bsky.app/profile/eva.computer/post/3mut7drpxxk26 It is extremely too late for that. (I tried to count the number of unattributed pieces in that gif. I lost count around 70. There's probably over a hundred.)
Can we normalize art theft?
For a while, I thought SOPHIE's "Infatuation" had the lyric "Who are you deep down (How would I know?)" (It's actually "I wanna know") and especially given other questions of identity in Oil Of Every Pearl's Un-Insides I honestly think that reading adds to the album.
Name your fav mondegreen or misheard lyric.
I recently learned a term for A: Loopholism. It refers to someone finding any pretense necessary to continue believing what they already believe. Known cognitive error in brains.
when I cite lists like this at liberals they either A. demand a source for each point that explicitly says exactly these things because they refuse to try to read between the lines, then nitpick every source they are provided or B. block me instantly so many people just refuse to believe us.

you know that kwame ture quote about how nonviolence only works as a strategy when your opponent has a conscience? something similar at play with pointing out your opponent's hypocrisy. that only works if your opponent agrees that he's playing a word game not prosecuting a holy war

...My brain is making a wild correspondence to a psychoanalysis book I'm reading.
Probably the most common form of this for people in my generation is having awareness of pop culture stuff from a Simpsons parody and only seeing the actual thing later. e.g. I think about 60% of the scenes in CITIZEN KANE received 1:1 Simpsons parodies bsky.app/profile/priz...

That my sub main character got bad-ended because she ended up with a switch and not a dom. Shout out to it, though, I got another half a million words out of the premise specifically rebuking it.
If you see this, please tell me the worst/most baffling bit of creative feedback you've ever recieved. Mine is still the time somebody told me my aliens had names that were too alien. Not that they were unpronounceable, just that they didn't sound enough like human names.
In Sexuality Beyond Consent, the author forwards a theory that this basically happens in childhood: Something happens we can't explain at the time, our ego wraps an interpretation around it, and then later something disrupts that interpretation to recontextualize it.
I'm a big fan of media analysis but sometimes the best form of media analysis is letting a piece of art sit with you, making you feel weird in a way you can't understand or explain, until one day you have a life experience and you remember the piece of art and you realize that you understand it now

...Oh, this reminded me that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6yhcFMa5HU exists, which is on my shortlist for favourite cover. Everyone knew *Heaven* at the time, but this is the best DJ Sammy track in my heart.
Okay a lot of the replies are like, the poster's subjective 'best' music, which is a fine way of going about it, But for me, to *explain* what music is and why we're all fixated on it, I'd do Mozart 's variations on Ah Vous Dirai-Je, Maman (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). https://youtu.be/hCKBl-TpRzc
If an alien landed and asked you: ‘What is music?’ what would you play for them?
