Filled my first order for gear made with no-kill cactus leather. Seems to tool up fine and be tough. I might try a pair for myself and see how it works if doubled and sewn together too. But it’s pretty convincing as is.

Someone requested brown leather for some gear so I unrolled this, realized it’s from an elk I shot back in 2002. I was never very serious about it, too distracted by birds to care. That was the one & only big game I killed. She was beautiful. Thank you for the food & leather, many years later 🙏❤️

I've been giving The Bonding a last, light polish before submitting to bet@-re@ders, test-driving it as it were. So far only minor alterations & I'm happy to say that the feels are still strong, the action engaging, and the spice is still hot, even for me. Can't wait to share it with the world!

3k words today on The Bonding. Edits slowed by changing POVs, breaking mega-chapter into 3 smaller. Translated some quotes to Orshzowan since written before conlang existed. Hopefully have it done by Monday, can give one final read before sending to beta-readers. Thanks for all the encouragement. ❤️

Another day, another 7k words on The Bonding. It’s at almost 120k. I’m not trying to make it bigger, but I’ve created a monster of a world, a huge cast of birds, and a multithreaded plot that feels like it won’t quit. Almost there though. Then I can sleep again for real.

Did some thrift shopping a few days ago for fake foliage to adorn my dealers den booths. Easily found several options and disassembled them for repurposing. If you need similar, don’t buy it off Amazon. Buy it secondhand. Better quality & you don’t feed the oligarchs.

Husbird found this free sewing machine on the curb a few houses down. I set it up and did my first sew job, hemming up this table runner/banner. Not perfect (dt my inexperience) but looks pretty good! Not bad for free.
