i was born in the very late 2000s and i have always been fascinated by the 2000s era because it was right before I was born, its so familiar & recent enough to not be ancient history but also distinct, fascinating & mysterious since it is a time i never experienced & can never experience

this fascination began when i was a kid in the 2010s, and it makes me wonder if there’s a kid born at the end of the 2010s or the very beginning of the 2020s who will experience a similar fascination with the time i grew up in/experienced

even someone yet to be born could have a future fascination like this with the right now (2020s) in the future!
