Looking for some prior art @ setting up Neovim/LazyVim on a Windows 11 system. Set up clean Neovim on my personal machine, but "fun" can always be found down various plugin rabbit holes :) Will see if I succeed.

I mainly want to see if I can manage versions of node, deno, golang... I see the have python, ruby... rust is missing, but that's enogh for starters.

I like how The Agency (TV series) manages to weave in the mundane details of spycraft like car mechanics and washers. It's original; you never see that in spy movies.

Step 7: Install other plugins available with LazyVim. Open Neovim and type `:LazyExtras`. Choose the plugins you need. Wait until they are installed, then restart Neovim.

Step 6: Run Neovim. Go to a directory you'd like to open with Neovim and type: `nvim .` Neovim will start installing LazyVim and its required plugins. After that is done, restart Neovim.

Step 1: Install NodeJS (prebuilt installer). It will download and install additional tools. I installed it first with `fnm` but `fnm` is weird in how it works, or more appropriately doesn't work. In its Github Issues I found that its author/maintainer hadn't used Win in a decade :) Don't use it.

Why web components have such a hard time to break into the real world of web app development? Most of WC affectionados will tell you to avoid the Shadow DOM API in favour of "HTML web components". Google, their creator, puts Shadow DOM at the front of their best practices. web.dev/articles/cus...

When starting to write an application, this is one of the first things that should get built. While "features" don't always map to "routes" they often do and, when routing is done well, it can help organize the rest of the code into managable and simpler parts.

A small #CSS tip: If you are using CSS modules use one class at the root (of a component) as a namespace and then use native CSS nesting. Stop CSS classitis!

Would I rather work in a readable codebase or a performant one? I can more easily mess up the performant one if I don't understand it; I can probably make it run faster if I understand the details.

This looks like a better way to evalutate potential hires than leet code puzzles. With over two decades of experience in frontend/backend and I still get asked how many f'ing bananas Koko can eat in `h` hours. That's f'ing bananas! I am waiting for cinema to produce a picture about a future where robots and AI rule and only a small band of people who retained their mental capabilities (because they refused AI to do everything for them) battles for survival of our species. I think it might be too early for this, but is it?
