I think artists and sex workers should have a natural allyship. Both of us are often told we should not be allowed to charge for our work if it is at all pleasurable. Both of us are wanted for what we can do, but our work is considered not worth paying for. We should stick together

No matter what we're dealing w/ in trauma recovery, it's never the wrong call to break it down to managing this minute or doing the next teeny, tiny thing. CPTSD's biggest weapon is its ability to overwhelm. Our biggest mindset tool is our ability to focus in on this 60 seconds.

No is a word I really struggle with especially to my kids and hubby, hubby is a childhood abuse survivor and I tend to want to shield my kids from any pain so I'll spread myself paper thin to 'take care' of everyone I'm learning 😌

got to looking in the camper for my iron and instead found some memory treasures which of course the kids wanted to know about so I've been crying for the last five minutes while walking them down memory lane, found things I worried I had lost though ❤️

Don't overthink it & don't overcomplicate it. In trauma recovery we are training our mind & nervous system to NOT reflexively launch into patterns that compromise our goals & values. That realistically happens minute by minute, choice by choice, skill by skill. Easy does it.
