acesential

Welcome to acesential's bsky! Local weeb bat (formerly copper pony). I draw all sorts, often fan art, but also a smattering of my own OCs across various different ideas/stories. 2000s Anime/Manga inspired, with some western zest here and there. Hope you enjoy my draws!

Something I did of Tabby just before I went to bed. Was playing very fast and loose with it, some things I tried didn't quite work out, but it was a good experience regardless.

Apropos of nothing- quick doodly Mayano Top Gun upon ye.

God I'm hungry what is there to eat in this place...?!

Friend @koopacap.bsky.social said it would be funny if my fumo videos got more Lynchian over time, so-

I drew the one who guided me to the concert a Hakos Baelz~ Good thing I just bought a bunch of shikishi boards!

Lucky me, I got real close to the front!!

Holy. Fucking. Shit. What is my luck? So by pure chance I ran into some Hololive fans. It turns out Suisei is having a surprise guerilla concert! So now I'm going to that! YAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Quality of life in America would increase substantially if we had more cute anime mascots for everything. It's like trickle down economics, but kawaii. Trickle down kawaii. Just watch-make everything cute and things would just become... Better. Pensions would come back. Because of cute. Believe.

not a day goes by that I don't wish to exhibit as much unbridled joy as these dumb little things do I think everyone would be happier two heads tall

Dotonbori~

So something incredible happened. I was looking for a bar in Dotonbori with karaoke. By pure chance, I found one where everyone who worked there is Filipino! They pulled me into their group to join them with singing and drinking. I'M STILL THERE!

I got to accomplish my goal of singing Nanmonee at a Japanese karaoke bar so basically this trip was automatically a success.

Dotonbori~

And I get why it's this way. But... Still! Nweh. Suisei hand puppet says hi.

I did it. I finally did it. I finally bought... Lewd doujin.

すいちゃんは…！ 今日もかわいいーーーーーーーー ね~

So here's my fumo list so far: Reimu (bootleg) Reimu (official) 2x Marisa Sanae Suwako InuSakuya Kaguya Aya Cirno I don't have a problem YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. Which is the fact that YOU'RE not a fumo I can collect. ...not yet at least...

This is probably the strangest eating arrangement I've ever had.

Good morning! My feet have been killing me with all this walking around, so I bought some insole inserts that are much better quality and make. They already have much better arch support on touch. Should help me make it through the rest of my trip! Also I won two Maomaos from crane games~

Om nom nom...

Master Spark! #10月15日は魔理沙の日

Someone, send help. The plushies are starting to outnumber me in this room, and I think they're conspiring to take me down. The way Marisa is looking at me... I don't trust it. Wait... OH GOD! AAAAA--

I am so happy.

Mmmmmmm... Good night everyone~

日本のみんな！ こんばんは！ 来たーーーー！ わたしはここにあるよ！

I'm off to Japan! 日本に行くよ~

I haven't used watercolors in a while. It's a bit messy, but came out better than I expected. The streaks in the bangs look really nice and I'm surprised I was able to pull that effect off. I need some better pigments tho. Or maybe I just need to better prep the paper. Hakurei Reimu Touhou Project

I apparently never uploaded this. It's from a while back, when I was really starting to get into Touhou- portrait of Hong Meiling. As simple as the colors are for this, I think it comes together really well. I should play around with not using pure white more often.

A quick draw of Rowena in my sketchbook to knock the rust loose as I finally get myself settled in the Philippines. L

And now a Fujiwara no Mokou. Mokou has awesome pants. She keeps all her power in her pants. ...I need to buy a bigger marker set. I was only able to bring a few with me from the US. Maybe I can buy some more while I'm here...

This one took me all day despite being a relatively simple drawing without any coloring. Was fun tho, I like Suika ibuki a bunch. Based on a similar composition/panel from the Koumakan no Onnatachi/Ladies of Scarlet Devil Mansion doujin by Risui. Really fun read, highly recommend.
