It would be better if it said “Codes Should:”

They rolled out a new set of talking points with the overall one-sentence talking point being: "Building codes save money and lives."

We should be voting to expand rail and bus services in the urban Bay Area, but instead we are fighting to just keep what we have. Sad that this is our reality. Vote for RTM and Measure H

The War on Cars@thewaroncars.bsky.social

"Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)... is considering cutting 70% of its service and closing up to 15 of 50 stations, some 30%. Caltrain, the area’s leading local commuter rail system, could discontinue weekend service and shutter up to a third of its stations."

It’s insane that we continue to spend our money on freeway expansions at the cost of better transportation alternatives

California Transit Nerd@catransitnerd.bsky.social

VTA has massive plans for HOT lane expansion including a 2nd lane on a segment of 101 between SR-85 and Morgan Hill with a single lane south of that to CA-25 or the county line. Local officials are trying to push the entire project timeline up under the name of "equity" and hand wave away

Patrick Siegman@siegman.biz

Obviously, some (especially architects) are huge fans of modernist architecture and planning, like Corbusier's Plan Voisin for central Paris.

NEW | California just reached a world-first solar milestone Over HALF (51%) of electricity generation across the whole month of May came from solar power. Battery storage is the big difference maker, enabling California to push the share of solar generation to this level.

It’s an actual Dream Come True for me! Today I am driving a Muni Bus wearing the iconic Landor Livery, the true colors Muni is meant to display, designed by the great Walter Landor in 1975, introduced alongside the greatest logo in transit history, the Muni Worm.

If steam trains were more common, then these kind of dangerous crowd situations wouldn't happen anymore, right?

This man deserves a year off when they get back to Wyoming. Dumbass in Ashtabula, OH was taking head on shots of the train as it was approaching, forcing Ed to make an emergency stop. He then called him over and put him on blast for his idiocy.
