Social reproduction in the global north is deeply entwined with global atrocities

John Duncan@johntheduncan.bsky.social

"From Lemking to Life-making: bridging Critical Genocide Studies and Social Reproduction Theory" In this I explore what can be gained by bringing these two schools into conversation. What political drive does SRT inject into CGS and what theory can CGS return?

overconfident people who are stuck in their ways are so exhausting to work with. they have been conditioned to have an answer ready for anything you might inquire about. there's never any doubt or nuance in their answers. so u always have to double-check and verify anything they say.

it pisses me off when the gangs of clueless racists pretend they're marginalised underdogs. the police, government and media are on your side, they will go to extremes to avoid punishing you, you are playing on easy mode

bro what if we could just work for a living and be paid fair value for our work and decide what happens to our surplus labor value in a democratic process instead of having it decided for us by a cabal of senile pedophilic failsons

bang, next up AC2. im skipping master of arena. i couldnt make it through the missions in this one either. after all of the missions in AC1, i feel burnt out. im happy just reading a recap of the story online.

im shocked at how good these dingy plastic Philips speakers from the 70's sound. bright, detailed and transparent lets bring sealed speaker cabinets back!

the twitter lib reaction to Ethel Cain is so reflective of how puritanical most Americans are. no one is coming to your home and flashing ethel cain's dick at you. nudity as an art form is millenia old and sexualizing all naked bodies is a Puritan invention that liberals internalized and propagate.

been watching anime and vn reaction series by pinkcubed (made in abyss & higurashi). his enthusiasm makes his commentary so fun to listen to.

how does it feel to feel passionately about a person or a fictional character. am i just incapable of unadulterated glee?

all the fake AI trash really contradicts one of the main ways we're told capitalism operates, with capitalists identifying wants/needs & developing products & services to meet those. turns out you can skip that step & just pretend. nigh everyone hates AI and it makes no money but it's everywhere

Santa Ragione are a well-known studio, covered by a great many mainstream outlets. Their latest game will not be releasing on Steam for... reasons? Steam won't tell them why, won't tell them what needs fixing, and won't communicate in general. Every other store will carry it. Just not Steam.

Santa Ragione@santaragione.com

Our upcoming game HORSES was preemptively banned from Steam, with no path to appeal. The game will still launch next week on December 2nd and will be available on EGS, GOG, Humble, and Itch for $4.99. Here is a detailed FAQ covering what happened: horses.wtf/BannedFromSt...

Liberalism has actually got us to this point - Liberals in the US did a genocide, so did liberals in the UK, Canada and Australia. Liberals laid online censorship on a plate for Trump. Liberals in the UK are charging disabled peaceful protestors with terror charges

Liberalism might seem down and out, but it'll win in the end. It's the only stable way to administer an enormous country full of wildly different communities
