it would be impossible to enter that thing and not start banging. I'd never get any sleep

It’s even got a bar. Maybe a fridge? Bedpan?

Nothing this good since...

circular dwellings always bring me back to this

😂

I need this, but in the middle of a cray

Honestly, the built in ashtray is a game changer

So much to dust

For those who can't walk to the liquor bar late at night -- and in the morning.

there’s always these ones:

They need to bring this back... Modernized of course. I need this in my life!

We used to be a proper society

I want what she had

We can see the bar, tv and the hi-fi system, that’s pretty much all there was in the 70s so I don’t know what else could be in that. I think they’re looking at a caged animal.

2.0 with rotation options

Man I bet changing those sheets is a pain in the ass

Reminds me of how decadent it felt when I set up my computer so I could check my email without getting out of bed. It was... a while ago.

Where's the bathroom???

ol 3 arm Brett

I want it

It’s the future of the studio apartments so the rich can pretend exorbitant rent is not crushing humanity.

It's AI. All the banks of lights are misaligned but more important than that, there's no mention of it online that's more than a couple weeks old. If this had really existed back then, you'd be able to find *some* mention of it in the intervening decades.

omg todd. you’re the researcher i needed.

This is awesome. I'm not even doing a bit. This would rock.

gircle bed

Perfect when you want to sleep around.

Retvrn

ugh, stupid.

Nothing goes together like lube and faux suede

in the future we'll have makeup that you don't have to take off before you go to sleep!!!

Thank you for the apology! Loads of people wouldn't 💜 @anontranshoe.bsky.social bad news :(

It's okay it's so weird either way lol

Yeah there's an Instagram account that makes these with AI. I fell for it too and this one looks like someone cropped off that name.

well… i’ve looked at a lot of whacky 1970s high end furniture “experiences” (i own several actual paper books!) and i also didn’t twig to that

The Bed and Bath Book is also notable firstly for having a lot of gratuitous photos of very sexy women, and secondly this amazing essay on how to make a bedroom that's better for having sex. i don't know who Bonnie Molnar was but what a queen!!!

So...why didn't you delete it? Like, thats what anyone else would have done if they dont want to be posting AI. Do you somehow absolve yourself because you didn't generate it? I dont understand your logic at all.

I would add a bookshelf.

🙂

You’re way too young to know it’s fake. The tell is that it doesn’t have an 8-track tape player.

that’s why i didn’t question it!

It’s really too bad, I can picture this being part of a ‘ honeymoon suite’ in a hotel

If it was actually from the 70s, the bed would be recessed in the middle of the room and surrounded by a fish tank, not TVs

Adult play nest

Only a cocaine user could innovate like this

Gives new meaning to the phrase “jump into bed.”

So many buttons Hnnnng.

Put a mini fridge in there and you’re set!

Imagine making that bed every morning…

for me it would be overstimulation central (and not in the fun way)

I remember ads like this in real time. Sleazy porn vibes.

Building this.

What I’d do for a gircle bed

IN THIS ECONOMY?!

Gotta have it

Probably a mirror. They'll soon realise it's not a colour TV though.

This feels like a screenshot from Fahrenheit 451

It's His and Her's TVs.

That's where the mirror was if memory serves me correctly

@kubawidlarz98.bsky.social Hey! 🎉 Welcome to our progressive community!

Has anyone in these replies actually changed sheets? This looks like hell on earth.

why must i be cursed with rectangle bed WHYYY

“These are sexy people Lyn”

Thumbs with too many joints

The 70s was deeply flawed but had so much to recommend it. “Look for the union label” was a heartfelt admonition and Jill Claybourgh was the star in 1/3 of all of the movies.

Girde bed for all

AI is bad, m'kay?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qkuy...

A tray, or a diorama of Mount Everest?

This may be AI but there was a real thing like this that AI stole it from
