bsky should really emphasize the best part of atproto: the PDS. investors should fund startups selling PDSs, both as a cloud service and a physical self host device. make it clear to users that the biggest benefit of atproto isn’t “one account for all platforms”, it’s “choice in sharing data online”

how do you think PDSs differentiate themselves product-wise? like why use a different PDS if your experience of the Bluesky app is basically the same? (fwiw, I strong agree with you, but curious your take on this)

wish i had time and was smarter around servers and hardware devices cause a plug and play self host PDS would be a killer atproto/decentralized product to make a startup around
