Actually, gas giant days are much shorter than Earths, so it's a bad measurement, like feet compared to meters. Better measure with gas giant years, or ice giant days if you behaved well this Earth year

no point in acting surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for 50 of your Earth years, so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaint and it’s far too late to start making a fuss about it

What do you mean you’ve never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven’s sake, mankind, it’s only four light years away, you know. I’m sorry, but if you can’t be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that’s your own lookout. Energize the demolition beams. www.goodreads.com/quotes/37910...

Once they’ve aligned magnetic N with rotational N, I hope they’ll move the N. Star to its correct position. Also, could the Ns be moved a bit so the three Ns (where the direction of map grid, magnetic and rotation Ns all align) is over England again? Preferably somewhere on the Greenwich meridian.

Awesome until the solstice comes along and casts a hemisphere into frigid darkness for a few months. They tidally decay too, and it just makes one big mess.

IIRC there were three types discussed: "whales" that drift through the atmosphere, "plankton" that the whales eat and which ride updrafts to higher altitudes and then fall back to lower ones where they reproduce and their spawn take their first ride up, and "sharks" that fly and hunt the "whales".

They should also fix these things: 1) Line up the rotational axis with the orbital axis. 2) Slow down the rotation just a bit so a day = 1/360th of a year. Absolutely crazy we have to deal with leap years etc. 3) This may be outside their mandate but can they make the moon orbit an exact # of days?
