NEW: Metadata from the “raw” Epstein prison video shows approximately 2 minutes and 53 seconds were removed from one of two stitched-together clips. The cut starts right at the “missing minute.”

The nearly three-minute discrepancy may be related to the widely reported one-minute gap—between 11:58:58 pm and 12:00:00 am—that attorney general Pam Bondi has attributed to a nightly system reset. Read more: www.wired.com/story/the-fb...

Has anyone done any historical shoeleather to see if the one minute gap is actually present on all other days besides the one in question? Seems to be a thing someone could check, but you would want footage from an unrelated case that was released before this incident.

Epstein got out of prison. Those minutes they tampered with is more than enough time to get him out. It is the only logical explanation why the prison tape was doctored. Epstein is still alive.

I find two things astounding about this part of the story — 1. They really think most of “us” are so stupid and ignorant that we will believe their lies no matter how absurd. 2. There are actually some “us” who will believe their lies no matter how absurd.

As Florida AG, Pam Bondi had ample opportunity to prosecute Epstein for multiple known crimes, but declined. Like he did with Alex Acosta, Trump surrounds himself with Epstein's (and his) enablers and fellow abusers.

This comes after WIRED previously reported that the video had been stitched together in Adobe Premiere Pro from two video files, contradicting the Justice Department’s claim that it was “raw” footage. It’s unclear what, if anything, the minutes cut from the first clip showed.

Everyone is frothing about the missing minute. It makes perfect sense that a programmer in a hurry would consider a day over at 11:59pm. What people should worry about is all the other cameras that we’ve been told weren’t working.

WIRED sent a detailed request for comment to the Department of Justice at 7:40 am on Tuesday. Just two minutes later, Natalie Baldassarre, a public affairs officer for the DOJ, replied tersely: “Refer you to the FBI.” The FBI declined WIRED’s request for comment. www.wired.com/story/the-fb...

WIRED reviewed its findings with two independent video forensics experts who confirmed that the edit occurred just before the missing minute mark and that approximately three minutes of footage were cut from the original clip. From @dmehro.bsky.social:

list schmist. don't need one to catch the pedos. doj evidence lists DOZENS of computers, laptops, tablets, towers, cds, flash & hard drives. release THEM and let the digital forensics experts do their job. in a secure room with cameras EVERYWHERE inside & out to ensure there's no funny business.

Would love to see bill barr and Trump testifying in congress about all this Epstein business. But alas 🇺🇸has elected a bizarre group of cruel unscrupulous undignified dishonourable dumb thieving pedos +criminals to its congress/senate. TACO slob knows theres nothing the losers and suckers can do.

Didn’t she also say the video system was from 1999? As a fed law enforcement and security supervisor from then until 2015, I call bs. No way they are using tech that old.
