This is Bear, Australia's most famous koala detection dog. After a decade of service, he's retiring. He's located hundreds of injured or displaced koalas after forest fires. We're told his retirement will be filled with rest, cuddles, and maybe a little mischief. 15/10

Drop Bears mainly target tourists, especially the ones taking too many pictures (including pics of their lunch) and anyone wearing brand new 'Outback' gear while trying to look like an authentic Aussie.

Dangerous job, as not only embers, hot patches and falling gum tree limbs, there is also the risk of discovering the koala is actually a drop bear. Worthy of the highest accolade you can award

What a truly blessed animal life; to be a rescuer surrounded by rescuers! Bear experienced true altruism, which is so very hard to find in this day and age. His own giving of self along with the humanity of mankind is a special gift! May all understand what a special gift of time they have shared!

Young koalas eat some of their mother's droppings to prepare their digestive system for a lifetime diet of gum leaves. Then they get picky about which gum leaves they'll eat.

OH MY GOODNESS. LOOK AT THAT DOG'S EYES! If he were a human dude, this girl would be...ALL OVER HIM! 😄 I think he's gonna be missed...A LOT!!!😥 🤔Has Australia tried breeding him since he's that good?

Happy retirement, Bear. Have all the cuddles and all the thrown balls you can wish for. ♥ And thank you for being such a good boy.
