This is Summit. He is a friend to pretty much everyone he meets. But has a special soft spot for the little critters who stop long enough for him to say hello. 13/10 (IG: bakerbarnes)

This reminds me of our dog when I was a kid, also a golden. One day he walked up to my dad with a very self-satisfied look on his face. My dad, knowing who he was dealing with, said, drop it! He opened his mouth and out jumped a live grasshopper.

Summit looks like a sweet dog. She reminds me of my Katie. Katie leaves the room when she sees a fly because she knows we are going to kill it.

Summit shows no fear and definitely not anger towards the stranger. Instead he exhibits curiosity and genuine interest. Surely, the entire world would be a better place if more humans could 'welcome the stranger' and be more like Summit.🐾

We have a Chihuahua mix that spends his day chasing ring neck lizards on a retaining wall covered with cape honeysuckle vines,he never catches them but that doesn't stop him from trying

I had a pet parrot who’d puff up while walking towards the neighbor’s dog and would be cursing in Spanish at the dog. The neighbor’s dog was a birder, she just carried the parrot in her mouth but didn’t bite down. The look in the dog’s eyes “what? Can you blame me”

if anything gets w/in sniffing range of mine it’s a snack. their rural brothers dine on gophers daily! saves $ on buying food i suppose. “This is Summit. He is a friend to pretty much everyone he meets. But has a special soft spot for the little critters who stop long enough for him to say hello”

I relate greatly to Summit in that I too just wanna look at tiny creatures. They have no need to be afraid, I just wanna check 'em out for a second.
