This is Sweeper. His human couldn't be with him on his 10th adoptaversary. They planned ahead and got their friends to take him out to lunch, who were more than happy to make sure Sweeper still felt celebrated. 14/10 #SeniorPupSaturday

As long as we admit that sweeper would have been ok to celebrate whenever his people got back. Sweeper would not have known the passing of the day or make a note of the anniversary for next year. But good on them anyway.

We just celebrated our feisty girl's 10 yr adoptaversary a week or so ago! Sweet SAILOR and her fellow rescue brother JORDY (named after the awesome Jordy Nelson of the Green Bay Packers) enjoyed several small bites of Three Dog Bakery's delicious dog-friendly treats over a few days. Go, pups, GO!

How do you know that the dog was given that meal? Why would a dog be given a salad plus a gherkin? BTW, the dog is at least 10 years old- he was adopted ten years ago. BTW, when I'm 70, I'm going to eat the biggest burger you ever saw!

This is Molly. When she was young, she loved baths as a way to cool down, but in her golden years, she's learned to enjoy the warmth of a comfy bed and sleepy human. 13/10

My grandpuppy, who was deliberately set out by her owner at 12 weeks. My friend took care of her & my son & DIL rescued her. Lucy- my grandpup, in her Mother’s Day tshirt!

My granddoggy pitty was a Lucy as well. My son adopted her from a shelter. We found out that she had inoperable liver shunts and was expected to live six months. We found a holistic vet who we thought might buy us a little time to say goodbye. Lucy lived 8 full and happy years, we were blessed.

Our Lucy, has been part of our family for 3 years. She. Is. HILARIOUS. My son is her “person.” “I’m the fun parent,” he says 🤣 I’m glad your Lucy lived way longer than expected- a sign she was loved & taken care of.

Hello from Lucy- also a rescue dog. Originally a Border Force dog but broke her leg and then surrendered by her first adoption family due to gut issues. 5 years later all sorted- loves zoomies and a swim in the dams.

She's a beauty. Bless you for your patience in helping her get things sorted. It is so wonderful to be able to give them a good life and a loving home. I would save them all if I could.

They mostly produce haemolytic anaemia actually (which can be more serious short term as it’s life threatening if enough onion is consumed), but all the same they should never be given to dogs

I don't purposefully give my dogs onion. If they accidentally get some, I don't freak out. That's all I'm saying. If it were a tiny Chihuahua then yeah, common sense. They scare everyone into rushing pets to the vets when most of the time it is unnecessary. My dog's never got sick from a tiny piece.
