I honestly thought Burnt Sienna Shitler would be the downfall of *The GOP*. Now, here in 2025, I am admitting that I was terribly wrong - failing upwards regardless of U.S. laws, Trump's taking down *YOUR WHOLE COUNTRY*. Da, reluctant "Points!" to Putin for playing the long game. #FlashbackFriday

OF COURSE the legal system is under siege! It's the last thing standing in 47's path to being dictator-for-life! WAS THAT NOT OBVIOUS?!?!? Are we surprised? This is 47's last shot - do we really think he isn't all in? Are we? We damn well better be, or the USA WILL NOT RECOVER!!!

Well you guys are attorneys use your skills to stop this from happening. Don’t just sit back snd complain! Do Something about it! Come on folks use your nogkins besides combing your hair! Don’t be a bunch of cry babies! You attorneys and judges have the power!

Thank you Mr Weissmann, I always appreciate your voice on this themes, English is not my native language, I'm German, but I live now 20 years in Texas and I'm not an US citizen. My understanding of what you did say is, only the average Americans could stop this mess (with demos etc.) or a civil war

Intentional interfering with attorneys contractual relationships with former & current clients begs the question how much qullalified immunity does the DOJ (and individual attorneys there) enjoy? Make no mistake, this doesn't happen but for the Roberts potus monarchical immunity decision.

You had to see this coming, right? Ignoring the rule of law and ignoring federal judge's orders was an in your face clue that this was the direction MAGA NAZIS wanted to take us. This is what authoritarianism looks like. #RESIST

They’re dismantling the govt from within. He’s planning on staying in office in perpetuity. That’s why he’s remodeling the White House. He’s claimed it as his. We’re already too late to stop this takeover. We keep looking to politicians to save us, but the people must rise. It’s the only way.

I think the angst you feel is exactly what I feel as an outspoken liberal in a red county of a swing state. The Right is perfectly content to abandon dialog for epithets. Dialog being requisite for democracy, we are right to be worried almost to panic. (But not to action, right?)

I’m flummoxed! (Love that word…just describes it all in one nice package) There’s gotta be something that can be done…and it’s scary as hell!! He and those that adore him, know the judges and the law are the only thing between us and total anarchy.

Mr. Weissmann, with all due respect and I do respect your knowledge and understanding of the law, please do something besides talk. The time for analyzing and talking is past. Please spend your time actively defending people and institutions and not talking on a podcast. We need help here.

Andrew, I'm listening to your podcast, but stopping in place, to comment-- so, my responses will be a bit piecemeal, but will attempt to maintain theme and flow in the process. Let's start with the EO re: Covington. In truth... "Jack Smith" being a client at Covington is no more

than a convenient present- day ruse to get at that firm. Donald Trump has had a legal boner for CB, since their internal Memo, written for their client, the NFL, resulted in Trump not only being denied ownership of an NFL franchise, but also in the League telling Trump that he would NEVER own an NFL

franchise. As we all now know that Trump exists in a universe where retribution is his first personal commandment... AND, that this elephant never forgets (nor certainly forgive). Certainly, having Jack Smith as a client may have sealed their fate. However, in using the power of the Oval

to go after CB, Trump is settling a long-standing score; and as a person who has known Trump since those early days, I am eternally confident that this move on Covington absolutely has as much to do with the firm being responsible for denying him the toy he sought to find under the tree on

...YOU CAN'T DESTROY A DEMOCRACY AND ENSHRINE A DESPOT RULER WITHOUT DISASSEMBLING THE JUDICIAL BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT!!! Come on guys, this is "How tRump Fucks America 101"...keep up for Christ's sake🤬

The law is the final line that must hold or all is lost. Attorneys need to hurry up and get something in front of the SC and get them to reverse their opinion/decision that a sitting potus cannot be indicted / incarcerated.

People are speculating that this may have been an assassination because of all the attacks on lawyers who are investigating Russia-related crimes. bsky.app/profile/cath...

Thx Andrew you answered a multiple of questions regarding the legal issues. Solidarity is so important on all fronts. Discouraging Paul Weiss caved to Trump. So grateful you’re back with us and all is well with Innis!

Wake up, America! Project 2025 isn’t just a plan—it’s a power grab. They’re coming for your rights, your jobs, and your future, all to hand control to a few loyalists. This isn’t democracy; it’s a blueprint for domination. Open your eyes, raise your voice, and fight back before it’s too late!

Why aren’t the judges holding him accountable? If they don’t, we’re fuuucked. The Unsupreme Court needs to reverse their decision regarding complete immunity for him. The next step will be defying the highest court in the land. Then where will we be? Why isn’t the military stepping up? HELP!!

Hard for regular people to understand one law firm from another. Saw the statement that Paul Weiss denounced a former partner. But have no idea why.

They are not without power. They just need to stand the fuck up. Never did I imagine such smart, intelligent, and self-proclaimed protectors of justice… …wither and submit to a criminal. Like, WTF lawyers? Where’d you go?

What do we do when the courts cave in to Trump too? Other than the 5th Circuit, I am thinking the lower courts will have the backbone to say no to Trump, but Trump has 3, maybe 4 votes on the Supreme Court to give him everything he wants. I'm betting that Roberts will say no to only a few things.
