There must be a legal reason why these DOJ prosecutors and officials in different agencies resign rather than refuse to follow orders but stay in office so as to force their "superiors" to fire them. Could you explain what that reason is? Wouldn't it be good to drag this out & buy some time?

I understand but these are extraordinary times and there may not be any departments left looking for strong moral compasses in the future if our institutions are destroyed at this rapid rate. Holding the line and buying some time for courts to catch up would indicate strong moral compasses, no?

Pg 2... Referring to Ukraine... *NOT* Treason...?? It's OUR ALLIES "Wartime" and Trump is quite obviously "adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort..." Per Art. III, Sec. 3, Cl. 1 of The Constitution... The SPECIFIC CLAUSE DEFINING TREASON!! 🤔

So my questions are: If all these principled people resign, won't they be replaced by loyalists who destroy the institution even more? And doesn't that destroy the rule of law more? Or do the resignations slow them down enough to have some effect?

Andrew, you guys had the good on Trump and the person leading the investigation, put some code ahead of the country and all of you stayed quiet to this day. There are plenty of Trump crimes you guys uncovered and because of some code you also stay quiet while the country is destroyed

Nah, the biggest threat happened in the 1970s with the drug war. Millions dead, tens of millions enslaved for the “crime” of choosing to use an unapproved drug. This vast criminal conspiracy has since been institutionalized into the state for so long that nobody even notices it.

Since Congress refuses to act, there’s actually a mechanism to address the illegality now emanating from Trump’s “Justice “ Department. With some streamlining and expediting by key states, potentially by adding a modest amount of additional legislation, if necessary, it should be workable. 1/4

The states in which most current top Justice Department officials are admitted to practice law should establish panels for expedited review of the ethics of any Justice Department attorney who directs or suggests that any employee take any illegal action. 2/4

Such actions tend to cause irreparable harm, which justifies prompt review. Only few hundred or fewer of these panels in a handful of states would accomplish the task of rooting out the misconduct of directing illegal actions and suspending or disbarring those found to have offended. 3/4

No attorney admitted to practice law should be allowed to continue in a course of illegality, thus ending this lawless regime at the Justice Department. Needed: a handful of state legislators and governors to put this into action. 4/4

It's understandable to resign rather than violate an oath, with which I agee. It's also what the administration ("they") wants, making purges easier. The GOP Congress sits on their hands in collusion while the Dems sit frozen, twiddling their thumbs in utter confusion. Media outlets file false hope.
