How are you playing it without the 16:9 letterbox? I've been wanting to play it, but having the game windowboxed in a void surrounded widescreen was driving me nuts.

Oh wait, I just saw your reply to someone else saying there's a modern port of it. I'm gonna have to look into that and.... wait, STEREOSCOPIC 3D?!?! Ok, I'm sold.

What I like about MDK is that the devs were big fans of Giger, and you can see the inspiration, but it has its own character, so if an evening of mindless shooting coupled with some cool art sounds good to you, I say give it a spin. There's a modern port called mdk-sdl that runs on e.g. Linux.

MDK still looks so distinct. That sniper zoom felt wild back then, and Kurt's coil suit is one of the coolest designs from that era.
