I also tried letting codex "one shot" this as my first attempt using /goal. it was so fucking bad. I wish I had taken a video or something but I literally just rm -rfed that shit as soon as I saw it

it's not bad but I'm not very impressed since the curl is uniform along the whole page and so its basically just animating a line profile. and it would be a nightmare to turn it into a real interactive page turn where you can grab a corner and have it react the way you'd expect

surely there are not that many degrees of freedom on a page, like if you restrict flipping to only be along the edges of the page, it'll always be a 2d curve profile along the edge

i'm not sure how it's described mathematically but in my head if you lift a page and follow an arc to another edge along the opposite side, theres only like a little dome of possible trajectories, the rest of the page rendering is deterministic

it needs to basically create a bend that's perpendicular to a line projected onto the stack of pages between the cursor hit point and the corner of the stack of pages.
