Because of the electoral college, and living in a deep red state, my vote on Tuesday will only be meaningful for a few local and state issues. Thank you founding fathers (and slave owners).

Let's not forget that the electoral college was established so that southern states (slavery!) with smaller populations would be able to "resist" the larger numbers of voters in northern (more abolitionist) states. Hence the election of Jefferson in 1800. Long past time to end this absurdity!
