On this Breakaway day, our thoughts are with Commander John Koenig's teams on Moonbase Alpha. Today marks 27 years since the Moon left Earth's orbit, taking with it the last of the Eagles that hadn't yet exploded… It was Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Space: 1999 (1975-1977).

Today is also the birthday of Barbara Bain! She's 95 now. 🥳
