I've just started my wife on this. "Every episode they go through the Gate, something weird happens, and by the end of the episode everything is alright". "Yes. And they do it 200 times".

The series will run for a full decade and spawn several spin-offs. Since Amazon has just canceled a planned sequel, we can expect a reboot of Stargate (without SG-1).

I have zero faith in Amazon Studios after they cancelled the sequel, for the reasons they cancelled it. Stargate fans want Stargate. Instead what the execs want are a lot of the things SG1 made fun of in episode 200.

Small language tip: using "The series will run for a full decade" to describe events that have already happened sounds extremely strange in English. "The series ran for a full decade" is much more natural - since, unlike French, in English the historical future tense is extraordinarily rare.

Yeah. Nearly done with SG1. Me and my friends started watching all of Stargate 2 years ago. All of it in chronological order. We'll be done February next year. But we're already nearly finished with season 10 of SG1, leaving only the TV movies and cameos in Atlantis.
