Well. Even after upgrading the compiler and trying to inject some flags in through environment variables, I cannot even get the basic `yarn` to fire. Man I hate developing node stuff that uses native things. It's a real pain.

Oh yeah. I've learned to never touch native node libs on windows unless they're pre-built like libass. Life is too short for that

Buh. And even after I manage to figure out this problem, I run into ANOTHER problem after that where v8 itself just won't build. Christ. Can software stop being so shoddy?

I feel, we as a community have a few more build systems in us. If we make the perfect one to layer on top, it'll solve all the underlying jank!

Alright. So the build error I'm having is solved by latest node. Guess I need to figure out how to pull latest node / latest node-gyp down so this stops being a problem.

Trying to just regex search my way into finding where the hell this error is being spit out so I can figure out what to do to fix it. Maybe instead of upgrading my node I should just backtrack all the way to version 21 or 22 or something.
