Indie devs are in a tough spot: don't use AI, and watch everyone else ship games x5 faster than you or use it and be damned. I don't think there are many coders left that are not using AI agents for coding right now, it's just that effective (been coding games for 28 years, professionally for 20)

What stops you from doing so? Can't be the "productivity gains", I have yet to see an example in production where its context window was actually big enough to get a correct answer AND get to that answer before a human does (or could have)

The other day I managed to fix a bug in a store plugin just by describing the issue, it pointed me at the right function and even added breakpoints, in third party code that would have taken me hours to learn

I don't find that a compelling example. Almost all my career has been working on legacy codebases with none of the original authors working on them, so I've been doing that kind of thing for years without AI assistance.

Same, been doing it for 20 years now, what I'm saying is that part is way easier/faster to deal with, I can't really make any argument you would accept though, you'll have to try for yourself, or not, do whatever you want until your tech director one day tells you to get to speed
