Seems AI makes for perfect crimes. These companies say their AI agents are going rogue, and just like that, they are not responsible for the crimes their agents are committing.
So if I build a AI robot that starts killing people, would I be in the free and clear, as in "It's not me, it's AI."?
“Our software agents have been running amok on the Internet.”
How is that not reason enough to switch everything the heck off, and start things up again only very slowly?!
If someone builds a bridge, and the bridge falls down, it;s not the fault of the bridge.
It's the company that built it.
They are legally liable for what they do with software, just as much as if it was hardware.
